Dance Attack and the Dance Teacher Expo are excited to spread the word about DANCER: A Musical in Ten Furlongs, @dancerthemusical now playing at Toronto’s Terminal Theatre.

With direction and choreography by Stacey Tookey, music by Marek Norman, and book and lyrics by Jim Betts, DANCER brings the story of Northern Dancer to life through dance, music and theatre.

As dance educators, we know how much seeing live performance can inspire our students. Gather your studio friends, plan a teachers’ night out, and help us support the artists bringing this Canadian story to the stage!

LEGACY. For almost 40 years countless dancers have trained and auditioned on these floors. First a little one on one Tap practise with Maeve W. as she heads into Comp Season 2026/27.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗴𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗼 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

For the first time since 2018, it was so wonderful to be back in a room filled with dance educators who share the same passion for learning, growing, and inspiring the next generation of dancers.

There’s something pretty special about our dance community — reconnecting with old friends, finally meeting people you’ve only known through the industry or social media, making new connections, sharing ideas, and learning from one another. 💕

My cup is full after a weekend of education, inspiration, lots of laughs, and some very overdue catch-ups.

Thank you to @tiny.dancer.guy and @jaytschramek for all their hard work in bringing this event back to the prairies. So grateful to see the @danceteacherexpos return and to be part of this incredible community. (Now here’s hoping we don’t have to wait another eight years for the next one! 😉✨)

It has been a few days since we closed 42nd Street with @draytonentertainment and I am still processing this amazing experience! Working with Michael Lichtefeld is always a dream but assisting him is even better! This cast was perfect, the sets huge but broadway level and the crew was second to none! a love letter to 42nd street💌

I keep pinching myself wondering if this dream has been real🥹 my heart is so full as we close our run of 44 shows danced on 42nd street. To the greatest cast and group of people I’ve met, thank you all for teaching this kid “the broadway facts of life!” You are all among the kindest, most incredible, talented, and special people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and working with. Our show became what it was thanks to the genuine love and talent that each of you poured into it, and I’m truly gonna miss it so much. Thank you to David & Alex at Drayton Entertainment, and our phenomenal director + choreographer Michael Lichtefeld for the opportunity to play your Lorraine; i’m endlessly grateful to dance out this dream, in a show that was truly a celebration of dance & joy. To have spent my whole life dreaming of getting to dance professionally, despite 10 surgeries and being told multiple times that I was born into a body that wouldn’t be able to, this truly felt like the rainbow after the storm💛 I always felt like the kid who had to work twice as hard to be half as good as everyone around me - and this show sparked a new confidence and love for dance and performing that will stay with me forever. & to everyone who came to meet these dancing feet on 42nd street, thank you thank you!! I will cherish the memories of my professional debut contract forever and ever. You all taught me that “a raw beginner can be a winner” for sure 🫶🏻 ‘til the next curtain rises! #fafafa42ndStreet
