Caribbean sisters, we have a swerve to share. 🏝️🚩 Our Investor Readiness Learning Lab is shifting off its original September 11–12 date. As with any new, incredible movement-building initiative — there are swerves, and there are pivots. We’re finalizing the new date with our partners now, and we’ll share it the moment it’s locked. This doesn’t change why we’re doing this. The Caribbean is calling its daughters home, and we’re building this the right way — on our own terms. Stay tuned. 👆🏿 #WomenInvest #CaribbeanDiaspora #WiNvestor #CaribbeanWomen #impactinvesting

Sister of the Caribbean, are you ready to stop watching the capital conversation from the sidelines back home? 85% of Caribbean diaspora want to invest back home. Only 13% do. That gap isn’t about capacity, income, or ambition. It’s about infrastructure, and I’m showing up to help close it. #WomenInvest #AngelInvesting #CaribbeanInvesting #ValuesAlignedInvesting #DiasporaCapital

With the death of her 20’s Jasmine threw a murder mystery party at “The White Lotus” Oakland. It was indeed a party to die for☺️ Smokey & Josephine sniffed for clues and were on the case too!😜

Jasmine Rashid describes financial activism as a reclamation of the idea that financial systems should serve people, recognizing that they aren’t currently designed that way. Addressing financial activism’s role in overall activism, she realizes it’s often the missing piece. “It’s like the elephant in the room for so many conversations about social change,” says Rashid. “How do we get the funds we need to fight against harm in our communities and build the necessary infrastructure to fix it?” Read more by @betmphoto about @jazz_ny at the link in our IG stories or March/April highlights in our profile, visit eastbaymag.com or pick up a print copy at select locations in the East Bay! 💪💵 Photos: 1-2) by @betmphoto 3-4) by Lara Kaur #eastbaylove #eastbaymagazine #eastbaymag #eastbay #financialactivism
