My last full day in Boston with Jas, José, and Atlas on an evening stroll. They made sure I tasted Boston’s food and drink 😄 a chai pumpkin latte concoction that was yummy. A chocolate store with all kinds of goodness - a stop after hitting TJMaxx for last touches to the game day ‘fit! 😁 A restaurant stop - we sang and danced even though no one else was 😂 I worked most of the time I was there - Jas made sure I had all I need to be comfortable doing so. 🙏🏾 There are all kinds of ways to love and express that love - in this stage of life, I am most grateful for all of the small (while big), yet tangible ways. The day finally came to make it to Fenway - and at the end of such a dope season! . A good friend from work asked me if I had any plans to travel to Boston to catch a game at Fenway - I told him it was funny that he asked because a few short days before he did, my answer would have been “no”. I definitely would have liked to - but I had already traveled twice to catch JD play in person and figured I would just chill out 😄. Jas said, “Jose and I are moving to Boston, you gotta come visit, AND we can go catch a game at Fenway!” 🤣 so right before a work trip, I made my way - and we had a time. We sang and shouted; the younger folks around us joined us rather than being startled 😂 good for them. ❣️ . Such a good time and I am more grateful than I can express - Jaslyn’s commitment and capturing of the experience was most appreciated. 😌 it seems silly/ridiculous to most…I have come to terms that it will just be that for most others observing 🤷🏾‍♀️ . Post season starts tomorrow - Let’s go, Red Sox, let’s go. 💪🏾

My very first Massachusetts event. My very first Massachusetts client. And a day I’ll never forget. 🥹🧡 Before moving to Massachusetts, I made a promise to myself: book my first client within six months. Instead... it happened within my very first month. 😮‍💨 Not only did I book one client, but two—and Caro was the very first to believe in me. When Caro hired Hey Babe, she wasn’t just booking a content creator. She was trusting someone brand new to the area with capturing the heart of her community. That trust means more than I can put into words. For this event, Hey Babe provided organic content creation, delivering all raw photo and video content within 24 hours, along with a highlight recap video so the memories could keep living long after the event ended. As I walked around documenting the day, I realized something. This wasn’t just a fitness event. It was a room full of people cheering each other on, laughing together, dancing without hesitation, and creating a space where everyone belonged. And Caro... you’re truly sunshine. ☀️ Even though I didn’t get to take your class that day, I could feel your heart in every conversation, every hug, every smile, and every song. The energy you created filled the room, and somewhere behind my camera... I definitely cried a little. 🥹 Moments like that remind me exactly why I started Hey Babe. Slow as a turtle over here, but hey... the turtle wins the race, right? 🐢♥️ Today felt like one of those little reminders that progress is still progress. This week: ✨ Hey Babe officially became registered to do business in Massachusetts ✨ Our trademark became official ✨ We landed our first Massachusetts client Are these massive, life-changing milestones? Maybe not. But when you move 2,000 miles away from home, leave behind your network, start over from scratch, and try building a business in a brand new place... these little wins suddenly feel pretty big. Truthfully, I’m nowhere near where I hoped I’d be when I launched Hey Babe. Some days that feels discouraging. But today I’m choosing to celebrate the small things. The coffee chats. The networking events. The people who’ve answered my emails. The new friends who’ve introduced me to someone else. The community that’s welcomed me into Massachusetts and reminded me that building something takes time. Because if I’ve learned anything these last few months, it’s that businesses aren’t built alone. They’re built through conversations, connections, referrals, encouragement, and people who believe in you before you fully believe in yourself. So here’s to moving slowly.
