ATHLETE HIGHLIGHTS 🌚🌝 Jared Baltazar (74kg): 210kg x1 squat PR Love it when we hit an ATPR single with room to spare 🥂 Jared’s externals have been putting him through the wringer later, but he continues to find ways to show up and get the work in. We’re currently down to 3x a week training frequency with very minimal workload across the week to sneak in sessions while work and school are at a high priority, and safe to say we’re still cruising along. 1 block out from CA States and ready to bring it 🤝 Interested in working with me? Currently testing pushing her tertiary session harder on all fronts (top sets and rep work) to bring out the primary day on Saturday better. Every day is a primary day when it comes to bench press fr. Andre Beltran (82.5-90kg): 340x3 bench PR Picked up a hammy strain while sprinting outside the gym (opps are hype smh) but bench is still cooking first block post meet for Andre. So far, Andre’s week of bench workload has no sessions above 4 reps, and on average exists in the 1-3 rep range while we blast pressing accessories in the 6-12 rep range. This has allowed him to really put on some size to bring up his bench long term, while being able to have enough load on the bar to drive his strength up compared to mid/high reps (5 or more). Mike Cellini (110kg): 242.5kg x3 pause squat PR Low hanging fruit PR that we’ll likely surpass next week, but squat is just seeing linear progress at the moment since Raw Nationals. New mission is to hit his comp max for a pause squat secondary, and then knock down 300kg in comp ⏳ Remco Bourgeois (82.5kg): 175kg x1 squat Another block another 5kg added to the most we’ve hit together 🥂 aiming to run this current structure for one more block before reassessing future block goals, but at the moment we are gaining momentum very fast on Remc

Definitely one for the books!!! This past weekend in San Diego was yet another memorable experience for myself and my whole crew. Thank you to everyone that showed up and had a good time with us!!! My 6 athletes balled out yet again 😫😫😫 @that_dude_sher @lawmillion @edmundo_____ @kage._.kyle @dr00pzlh_90631 @manny__lifts A special shoutout to everyone that helped out @kameronduke to make this weekend possible. @tritonbarbell pulled up with the squad and had zero drops on the platform🤌🤌🤌 @splinterend @goooooomz @supertotaltawns for being the most reliable referees I can ask for 🙏🙏🙏 The next competition will be something else, see you all at California State Championships in November!

MEET RECAP 🌚🌝 Athlete: Jared Baltazar Class: 74kg (72.5 weigh-in) Meet: Powerlifting America One For All (2nd place) Squat (3/3): 207.5kg (+2.5kg ATPR) Bench (3/3): 142.5kg (+2.5kg meet PR) Deadlift (3/3): 260kg (+5kg ATPR) Total (9/9): 610kg (+10kg PR) DOTs: 447.41 (+11.3 PR) This was me and Jared’s first prep together, and despite the last few weeks getting a bit (really LOL) hectic, he had a perfect day! Hit all of our planned/reach attempts, 9/9 with 27 white lights, and walked away with some ATPRs. Two blocks out Jared had to miss quite a bit of training due to work/traveling, and hadn’t hit his primary bench for almost an entire block. Throw in getting pretty sick and working through a shoulder issue that led to even more missed training, we actually had a conversation about potentially pulling out due to the circumstances 💀 We decided to see things through, worked with what we had and took things one session at a time, and it really ended up being the absolute best case scenario we could’ve asked for. Jared, you killed it! I appreciate your resilience and patience through the adversity you faced, and that you stayed extremely level headed throughout the process. I have no doubt this is just the beginning, I’m excited to build from here man! 🥂

ATHLETE HIGHLIGHTS 🌚🌝 Tyler Wilkinson (100kg): 245kg x2 squat (matches triple PR) Recently reworked Tyler’s layout to have his secondary squat before his primary rather than after, and his primary squat after primary deadlifts rather than before. This has really allowed his deadlift to come through better at the end of our blocks, while also having that primary squat feel much stronger overall. Potential new 1RM loading ⏳ DM me for coaching 👨‍💻 Jilles Kok (90kg): 227.5kg x2 squat Reworking Jilles microcycle layout right now and have spent some time adjusting technique (less pre hinge, narrower stance), and have reinserted his third squat session between his tempo work and primary day. Gonna be shifting some of the work from his primary day to that tertiary session to get things feeling even better on Saturday, but we’re seeing signs of life again with squat which is really encouraging a few blocks out from comp 😎 Body is feeling healthy and 227.5 moving quite strong dude! Duc Tran (75kg): 170kg x1 bench press Duc’s bench has gone through a few overhauls lately to tease out some trends, as we were not quite sure the response type we were seeing. Shifting back to a 4x a week layout, total volume upticked by ~15-20%, and benching at the end of the week rather than the beginning has 170 looking about 3 RPEs easier in just one block 🤝 Jared Baltazar (74kg): 200kg x2 squat PR Beautiful PR from Jared! Training has gotten a little (very LOL) hectic this past block, so being able to snag this one in the rec center while forgetting half his equipment is a testament to how good squat is going rn 😂💀 Couple weeks out from comp looking to bring it all together 🤝 Andre Beltran (82.5-90kg): 545x1 deadlift PR This was Andres first deadlift PR in over a year, along with a squat PR and bench PR to cap off this past macrocycle! He came to me having suffered a pretty nasty back injury, and we spent many macros rebuilding work capacity and cleaning up technique. By the speed of this, this PR will be accompanied by many more soon! We are a few blocks out from his first competition in quite some time and looking to hit some big numbers 📈 Mike Cellini (110kg): 28

Powerlifting America Barbell Brigade Open 2025 Recap: Squat - 227.5kg/501.5lbs Bench - 127.5kg/281lbs (missed 137.5kg/303lbs) Deadlift - 235kg/518lbs (missed 247.5kg/545.6lbs) Total - 590kg/1300lbs (-50lbs from last meet) Came into this meet feeling uncertain—wasn’t 100% mentally locked in, failed 2 of my last heavy lifts during prep (one of which left me with lingering rib pain), and weighed in .9kg over my preferred class. But despite all that, I walked away with nothing but gratitude & a sense of accomplishment. Placed 2nd in my weight class and matched two of my meet PRs from 2021. More than anything, this meet was about stepping back onto the platform after my stroke, and I’m proud to have done that. Huge thanks to my handlers @kyliedrums and @beast.dollars for pushing me to sign up in the first place! Hungry for more. Thanks all the support🤙🏽
