Meet Riversong Café, the new coffee trailer from Rivanna River Company that’s giving us another lovely reason to head down to the Rivanna—and it’s quickly become a favorite.

Opened October 1, @riversongcville pairs specialty coffee from local roaster @jbirdsupply with pastries and treats from @mariebettecafe. Think espresso drinks, drip coffee, tea, and a setting that invites you to linger.

Take your latte for a stroll through the wildflower meadow, catch up with a friend at a picnic table, or settle into the cozy, wood-heated lounge with a cortado. Coming off the Rivanna Trail? An iced chai sounds just right. Making time for a sauna? Follow it with a matcha and a quiet moment by the river.

We love seeing local businesses come together to create something that feels so at home in Charlottesville. With fall color arriving and a little crispness in the air, this is a beautiful time to discover it for yourself.

The Charlottesville coffee shop with a love story behind every cup💞

Cheryl was 16 and working at a coffee shop when Jon became the regular who kept coming in. Years later, he taught himself to roast coffee in their garage, and they started selling bags of beans at farmers markets as a side hustle. That side hustle became JBird. Next time you order, know you’re drinking something that started with a teenage crush and a garage.
