An ode to summer ❤️‍🔥

It always goes by so fast, but oh my goodness am I grateful for every moment. ✨ It started with a world trip, was studded with desert dancing and catch ups with friends, old and new, and made special by the one I got to experience it all with. 🫶

May you fall in love with life again and again, no matter the season.

One of my favourite highlights of the summer was getting to celebrate my beautiful friend Janine and her second baby.

A group of us surprised her with a baby shower in the park.

How lucky I am to call this woman a friend, and to have watched her grow and evolve over the years into this beautiful woman and amazing mother.

Can’t wait to meet the little guy when he arrives! ❤️

🥟 Pierogis with the Polaks 🥟is one of my fave annual traditions.
An evening where my parents host some of my friends and we make hundreds of pierogis😅.

Mama teaches us the techniques, dad shares all of his tinctures of pickled and dehydrated everything. We sip all of his homemade adaptogen drinks, stay far too late and eat way too much.

When we moved to Canada, growing up, I thought our culture was weird🙈. Being teased for being different unfortunately affects a kid. It’s funny that when we grow older we realize that our differences are what make us unique and we begin to appreciate things more.

I gravitate towards uniqueness in others. It educates me and stimulates my curious experience obsessed mind. I LOVE culture. I love diversity and how there are SO many versions of making pockets of goodness - Pierogies, samosas, gyozas, ravioli, knödel, wontons, kreplach, khinkali, empanadas, pastel, briouat, to name a few.

As an adult, I’m so proud of my culture and our quirky little traditions and want to share them with everyone🙊. I also crave to learn about other cultures as well.

I feel there can be a bit of a disconnect of what ‘community’ means. To me, it’s not just friendships, things in common and coming together. To me community is also incorporating our families and friendships. Bringing all generations and loved ones to experience connection.

I wish my grandparents were still around to experience this new tradition we’ve created. Warms my heart to know that these recipes & traditions have been passed down from them and will continue to for many generations.

Feeling very blessed and extremely grateful. 🥟 🎄

It’s hard to fully capture the heart and intention woven into this day. 💛⚜️

Every golden detail, every thoughtful touch, every moment was crafted with care. ✨ A weekend steeped in speakeasy charm — filled with laughter, connection, and memories that will linger for years to come.

If there was ever a group who understood the assignment, it was Janine and Igor’s — a weekend of wining, dining, boating… and saying “I do” in unforgettable fashion. 🌺💍💒

Good times at Igor and Janine’s wedding in Kelowna last weekend! Such an amazing group of inspirational friends, all dressed in style as per supplied mood boards. Wineries, dinners, creativity, parties, an amazing wedding, and a day on the water to wrap things up. Always good times with this crew!

Igor & Janine tied the knot in beautiful Kelowna! 💍✨
Their heartfelt ceremony took place at the stunning Vibrant Vine vineyard, followed by a lively reception at the historic Laurel Packing House.
From sun-kissed vineyard views to romantic downtown strolls, every moment was pure magic. 💐🍇🏙️
