POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

What a wonderful evening! Tonight, we had the pleasure of welcoming renowned Atlantic City historian, author, and museum founder Vicki Gold Levi for Lens of History, a fascinating look back at Atlantic City’s golden age through the remarkable photographs of her father, Al Gold.

From Miss America and famous faces to the everyday moments that shaped our community, Vicki brought Atlantic City’s rich history to life through incredible photographs and stories.

Thank you to Vicki for an excellent presentation, to our community partners for making this evening possible, and to the 150+ community members who joined us for a memorable night celebrating our local history!

Three years later, we remember.

Tonight, 150 members of our community came together for an incredibly meaningful evening of remembrance, reflection, and connection as we marked three years since October 7, 2023. The program took place at @jccatlantic and was sponsored by @jewishbytheshore @bjeatlantic and the Jewish Leadership Council, representing 20 Jewish organizations located in Atlantic & Cape May Counties.

We remembered the lives stolen, the families forever changed, the long and painful wait for the hostages, and all that our Jewish people have carried these past three years.

We were deeply moved by journalist and author Mark Patinkin, who took us on a powerful journey through Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza, sharing the stories of the people he met and the heartbreaking realities he witnessed firsthand. His message about the importance of bearing witness, seeking understanding, and holding onto hope will stay with us.

We ended the evening standing together, arms around one another, singing Oseh Shalom, a prayer for peace.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, who continues to show up for our Jewish community, and who understands that remembering is not something we do only on anniversaries.

It is something we carry with us.

May the memories of those we lost always be a blessing. May we continue to find strength in one another. And may we know peace in our lifetime.

Am Yisrael Chai 🤍🇮🇱💙

In July 2022, JFS, Katz JCC, and Jewish Federation of Atlantic & Cape May Counties had the privilege of welcoming Philadelphia Eagles legend Lane Johnson for a candid conversation about mental health. Introduced by Jess Kane Berman, Lane spoke openly about his own experiences with anxiety and depression and the importance of seeking support.

This week, as Lane announced his retirement from the NFL to prioritize his mental health and spend more time with his family, we’re reminded of the courage it takes to put your well-being first. Congratulations on an incredible career, Lane, and thank you for reminding us that strength extends far beyond the football field.

Today was something special ❤️

- God has me and my family exactly where we need to be in life at this very moment

Today at the Field of Dreams, I met one of the most amazing families and happiest kids —my new buddy, James. His smile, energy and pure joy were contagious! HE WANTS TO GO FAST 💨🏁🏁

I went there hoping to make his day a little brighter, but James gave me something even greater—a new friendship, a new purpose and a reminder that the strongest connections can happen when you least expect them.

I do this for the people that can't and my GOAL is to make dreams a reality

I can’t wait to cross that finish line with you, buddy. This is only the beginning. ❤️🏃‍♂️🙏

The greatest finish lines aren’t always the ones we cross for ourselves.

This October, I’ll be running the AC Half Marathon @ac_marathon_race_series while pushing one incredible child from the Field of Dreams—giving them the chance to feel every mile, hear every cheer and experience the moment they cross that finish line.

Sometimes, making a dream come true simply means using your strength to carry someone else’s.

This one is going to mean more than any medal ever could. ❤️🏃‍♂️

Teamed up with @childrensphila @nick_fritzz @jccatlantic

This will be training for @nycmarathon and a BIG December fundraiser details will be posted shortly
