I realized at almost 20 years in this industry, this March marked 10 years that I have been piercing. At first, I wasn’t even sure it was something that I wanted to do or even be good at when @jcolbysmith told me he wanted to teach me. I had a bit of imposter syndrome at first but it’s turned out to be something I truly love doing. I get to meet and work with amazing humans everyday all while being creative.

So I wanted to take a moment to extend my deepest gratitude to anyone who has been a client, and anyone who has trusted me over the years to pierce them. To all my friends that let me practice on them, I wouldn’t be where I am today without you. To Colby for believing in me, mentoring me, and getting me to Los Angeles and providing a beautiful space to work @108.us. Thank you Sean, Eric @theoakandpoppy for giving me a space to grow my craft, and feel supported. So to all of you— thank you. I feel truly blessed to have this job.

In these wild times where every day feels uncertain, I’m grateful to know we still show up for our community. So let’s all continue to shop small, eat at family owned restaurants, buy art, buy music and take care of each other. Here’s some photos of different hair cuts, hats and outfits over the last ten years.

Piercing is more than jewellery.

It’s precision.
Responsibility.
Trust.

Every procedure involves breaking the skin - hygiene has to meet the highest standards.

That’s why professional piercing studios rely on medical-grade sterilisation with Enbio.

Quietly working in the background, so every piercing begins safely.
