Five years of being married to someone who quickly became and has (so far sustained his spot) as one of my favorite humans. Five years of still giggling in bed like it’s a sleepover, five years of learning and growing together as The Corfees.

This week we had so many pivotal moments in both of our worlds individually and together and it just made me feel even more blessed and excited to do this life together. It made me reflect on the stones that lay the path we walk, the bricks that are building this home, this life we’re creating together but also with the community of people who surround us 🥰🥹 what a gift!!

Happy five years my love, cheers to many many more 💕

Trying the “think fast I’m a random girl” trend on my husband.
I never make him do these because I know he does not put up with this foolishness but I really wanted to know what he’d do 😂

And I was tickled by his reaction - You all cannot feel it but I hope you can see THE TENSION IN HIS NECK is what was getting me the most - he would not budge! And that’s exactly right!!!

I remember the first time and the many times after I’ve listened to “I’m not that girl” and thinking of everytime I wasn’t chosen.
All the times my friends were asked to dance and out on dates and I just was there. Everytime I thought I was that much closer to actually being seen and loved and felt further away from it.

Always the friend never the love interest.
And then I met you and I learned I instantly became that girl.
I just needed to find the person who saw all of me and loved me because of not despite.

Ya girl doesn’t have a roster of past loves just a lot of unrequited ones. This hopeless romantic, poet, double libra has had a lot of heartbreaks and not a lot of heart holding but everyday I’m loved by my person heals it ten fold.

I know so many of us heard that song again this time around watching #wicked and maybe it resonated even deeper than it did the first time. You may not be that girl, person, human for the wrong person and that’s okay because when the right person does find you? It’s honestly annoying how futile all the rest of it feels. A love that says I see you, all of you and my god you’re beautiful. And as much as I hope that kind of love finds you soon, I hope you first extend that love to yourself - you are that person worthy of all the love.

The way last night was a prayer just to be in the room. Just to be in the orbit of actors and talent that I have DREAMED of being anywhere in the same orbit of. A gift. A manifestation of gratitude and also more please. Because my dreams ran wild last night after attending the premiere of @thesupremesfilm - yall go see this film. The actors acted with their whole soul and bodies.

Thank you to everyone who came out to my listening party last week. The vibes were immaculate and the company was next level. I surprised my guests with making it a silent disco style listening party and let them get cozy around the space and to take in all the words. This was very fun… should I do another one?? 👀

Because the build up is crazy right. like I spent DAYS ( maybe weeks) planning outfits I’d wear for a week somewhere and that’s a lot of work 😅

New York was 🥵 a scorcher but it’s not the city to be walking around and not at least FEEL cute okay !!!

New York summers are no jokeeeee okay. I have showered about three times everyday. This humidity got me feeling like a woman who’s lived a long life, talking about let me put my feet up. I’ve been putting spray sanitizer on my pits just to not feel gross - but it’s still my favorite city tho!!!
