Picked up the camera and spent a few days wandering around @gridlifelaguna

Had an absolute blast hanging with the guys at @brianpjannusch , @jonny.grunwald , @itsgaragelife , @jdm_fd, and everyone else who makes this event feel like so much more than just a race weekend.

There’s something pretty special about Gridlife. One minute you’re watching cars tear around the track, the next you’re standing in a crowd watching Chromeo or Dillon Francis absolutely send it. Motorsport, music, cars, and a whole lot of good people all mashed into one place.

Here are a few frames from the week. Definitely leaving Gridlife wanting more.

I love that I get to drive with so many different groups. This is why I created Weekend Driver. I’m not tryin to build a community, it’s already amazing as is.

It’s also crazy when you believe in something so much it doesn’t matter what obstacles you have to overcome. So many things planned, looking forward to getting shit out there!

Whenever I get the chance to visit to Monterey, I always try my best to get to WeatherTech Laguna Seca Raceway. There’s just something special about this place. It could be the blood oxygen levels being saturated or it could just be the sheer excitement of seeing everyone all working towards the same goal.

Even though I could not participate this year behind the wheel, I must share with you the unrelenting passions these folks dedicate to this practice. Call it what you may, but in this day and age, caring and being genuinely passionate about something is the coolest fucking thing you could do.

Win or lose, these folks are all inspirational heroes in my eyes.

Maybe in a few years I will take it to these levels but, for now, I will look for more seat time.

This RX-7 is Street Tuned, inspired by setup of @jdm_fd who is dominating street tuned class in Timeattack events held in California.

We were lucky to get his exact optimized suspension setup, and the car is rapid. Physics were made by @performanceoverlooks and 3D modeling by @scolmods
