🧡 Things I Love 🧡

I saw @thepuzzling_bookworm do this great challenge and had to give it a go, so here are some things I LOVE:

The Surrogate MOTHER - my mum is my BFF
ELSEWHERE - as in going on trips, travelling and exploring new places
A PHOTO Finish - I’m always taking photos
DAUGHTERS of Olympus - Rosie drives me bonkers but I love her
The Tiny Magic BOOKSHOP - no explanation needed here haha
CASH - I’m sorry but who doesn’t?! 🤣🤣
The Voyage HOME - I love quiet days pottering at home
The Seven HUSBANDS of Evelyn Hugo -best include him lol
The WOLF Den - my favourite animals
Trial of the SUN Queen - I am solar powered, I love the summer and the feel of the sun on my skin!
The DANCE Tree - I love dancing, be it my actual line dance lessons or tipsy at Pop World 😝

I’ve tagged a few people but no pressure!

Book Tour - with @novel.tours

Scorpions by Tuppence Middleton
4⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What an extremely powerful and incredibly open read. Tuppence writes with such honesty, holding nothing back which I truly admire. There was so much with what she was describing that I could relate too. I have had many of the same thoughts and difficulties as Tuppence which I imagine many of us have. But, the scale of OCD she lives with is likely unfathomable to most.

Tuppence takes us through her story beginning right back in childhood when the thoughts and problems first began to manifest themselves. I found her way of describing the feeling like scorpions in her mind really helped me understand and visualise how severe living with OCD can be.

I found the book both eye opening and emotional. I feel I understand OCD more and am more aware of how to be sensitive to how others are feeling. Some of the anecdotes told really struck a chord with me. Moving, sad but also shows a glimmer of hope, it was a touching and oddly darkly funny at times memoir.

I will never shut up about @badgirlbooksuk romantasy popup in Manchester because it was the BEST experience ever!

A huge HUGE thank you to @starlinsbookshelf for putting this incredible popup together and letting me be a signing author (for my first ever author event as well!), and a massive thank you to everyone who volunteered - you were all so so lovely and welcoming (please make yourselves known in the comments so I can follow you!) 🖤

To my signing partners: @elviegracewrites, @ellerhaeserofficial, and @sarasehdevwrites - thank you for dealing with my chaos and being so amazing! I can't wait to read your books and hopefully see you at another event soon.

Thank you to everyone who came down, both old and new friends! Whether you bought a copy or just popped by for a chat, it was so great to meet everyone. Special shout-out to @gemma.reads.xo and @rpereira87 for coming to see me, @parrotsandbooks for the BEAUTIFUL rebound hardback of Lord of Shadow and Blood, Ben for helping me drag my boxes to and from the shop each day, and I finally got to meet @thehyperfixationlibrary and @jds__readingnook (we made it out the group chat guys!)

That's a whole load of thank yous that still don't scratch the surface of how grateful I am for this opportunity. My debut has been out for two months now, but this experience is what truly made me feel like an author 🖤

What an amazing few days!
After 23 creators in 7 countries read and reviewed my debut 'Playing with Fire', the results are in and the average scores are 4.25⭐️ and 3.13🌶! I am so happy (and relieved!), I have no words.

Over 12 days these amazing people crafted over 40 stories and 53 posts, gathering over 2,000 hearts and over 400 comments. And they were so kind, open and friendly to me. I can honestly say I have made new friends. What was originally a nerve-racking experience of putting myself and my work out there became a party. And I have 23 of you to thank for that.

So a massive, massive thank you to all of you lovely bookstagrammers and booktokers.
