We lost someone special, someone important, our friend and former road manager, Eric Ruth. Eric died unexpectedly last week in Iowa, where he had moved toward the end of 2024, hoping to find a healthier lifestyle than the one he knew in Milwaukee. We are saddened beyond expression. I guess we spun around the Midwest four times together, short trips in between. We dodged a tornado just east of Madison, endured never-ending rain and the dystopian freeway of Lower Michigan, got lost in the cornfields of Indiana, trying to find a place called the Eagles Nest. We figured if we could survive all that, we could do anything. We joked about living a Midwestern version of Dante's Inferno, even when it wasn't funny. The Midwest is old, older than we know. We needed Eric to help us navigate it all. Eric was that person you know who almost always does more than asked. If a touring band needed a place to crash, Eric would offer his place. If we were out of T-shirts before a tour, he would take it upon himself to design a new one and get it to production (thats the shirt he designed in the photo). When our 3rd album, 'Monsters', seemed destined to remain forever an afterthought, Eric insisted on helping to pay for it. This was the Eric Ruth that a lot of people knew. This was who he was. We are a lucky band of noisy people that Eric chose us, his friends, to help and support, to join in our in our adventure. We dedicated 'Monsters' to him. I wish we could have done more. R.I.P., Eric. 😪

New video for our song "Pores" (from the 'Monsters' album, out now on Seismic Wave Entertainment). We asked dancer Olivia Morgan to interpret the dissonant drive of "Pores" as a shadow dance of ghosts, memories, "refractions from another time." We hope you enjoy her physical translation of our music!! 🔥🖤🔥 🎧 Links to stream "Pores" (in full) and other songs from 'Monsters' are in the Primitive Broadcast Servicd bio. To buy the album - primitivebroadcast dot bandcamp dot com 🎶🙂🎶 Thank you for listening!! 🎧

Our new video for 'Dead Horse (Apologies to Emma Lazarus)' - the first single from our upcoming album 'Monsters' on Seismic Wave Entertainment - which you can preorder on the PrimitiveBroadcast bandcamp site. Video by Christy Costello. What we are hoping to convey in the video is not simply anger at the cruelty of the Trump administration, or rage over ICE and the lives of so many lost, but also a sense of movement, the energy of movement, forward to a better tomorrow coming soon. Thank you for watching, let's go!! ❤️

This May Day is also a Bandcamp Friday, that most holy of days when Bandcamp waives its fees and 100% of what you spend supporting the bands and artists you're into goes to the artists. Usually, we don't hawk merch at you on this day, but since our pre-order sale for the new album has begun, we'd like to share the art that you'll receive when you order 'Monsters' on 12" Vinyl (black). Scrolling through, left to right, we have: 1) The album cover; 2) the back cover; 3) sleeve front (credits); and 4) sleeve back (lyrics sheet). Photo 5 didn't make the cut, but that's our latest band photo, taken by our pal Clinton Jacob last year at @xrayarcade . The album artwork is by our very own J.D. Morgan @jdsstuff , taken from his 'Shadow Floors' photographic series. 'Monsters' release date is June 4, 2026 by Seismic Wave Entertainment records @seismicwaveent Pre-order your copy at PrimitiveBroadcast dot Bandcamp dot com. Pre-order purchasers will receive their LPs before the release date. Direct link to our Bandcamp is in the bio!! Peace + love + dissonance, and THANK YOU #bandcampfriday #newmusic #noiserock #newalbum #preorder

Hey everyone, we just wanted to say thank you for such a full year of music and shows. Starting last December on, we went 'round the Midwest once, then again, and just kept going. 🤪 Thank you for letting us do that and to all the insanely great bands we played with and toured with. And most of all, thank you for coming to the shows!! ✨️🎶❤️🔥
