FREE FROM FEST📍@freefromevents It’s always one of my favourite days of the year when the Free From Festival rolls into town! Imagine being able to throw caution to the wind and eat anything you want without checking labels and asking “but is it actually gluten free?”. It’s such a rare feeling and one I definitely don’t take for granted. This was my 4th festival with my gal @all_eats_no_wheat and it genuinely just gets better each year! The Free From Festival is the UK’s only gluten and dairy free festival, and it’s basically heaven for anyone with allergies or dietary requirements. Not only can you stock up on some of the best gluten free products around, but there’s such a lovely sense of community too with talks, cooking demos and so many incredible brands, cooks and creators all in one place! Here’s what I scoffed this year 👇 🥨 @glutenfreedombageri it’s been YEARS since I’ve had a proper cinnamon roll and this one really delivered. Doughy, sweet and perfectly spiced! I’m still daydreaming about it! 🥧 @voakesfreefrom a yearly staple for me! I stocked up on sausage rolls and their incredible GF black pudding! 🍩 @hopstopdonuts were serving up fresh, warm, sugary doughnuts. I went classic jam and loooved it! 🍺 @daura_damm + @cans.co.uk kept us refreshed during the afternoon! I also came home with an incredible goodie bag packed full of treats from some aaaamazing brands: @lazydayfoods @warburtonsgf @morishsnacks @scharglutenfreeuk @tenutamarmorelle  @helloblanconino_uk @nomochocolate @clearspringuk @creativenature Free From Festival is heading to London next between 23rd–24th May before popping back up in Birmingham in the autumn so if you haven’t been yet, this is your sign. Speaking at the Free From Festival this weekend was one of those moments where I had to pause for a second and think… wow, this is really happening. When I was first diagnosed with celiac disease, I never could have imagined that one day I’d be standing on a stage talking about gluten free travel and helping other people feel more confident exploring the world. Getting to spend the weekend surrounded by people who truly understand this diagnosis reminded me why this work matters so much. The community, the conversations, the shared experiences. It’s something really special. And it’s an honor to play even a small role in helping fellow celiacs feel a little less alone and a lot more empowered to travel. An end of an era. Gosh, I’m so emotional writing this! My passion, my drive, my priority for the last five years. It’s official, our baby, @jecobowl, has been handed over and will now be taken to the next level. I’m so excited and so happy that the business will continue to grow. I still can’t believe I’ve successfully exited a profitable business?! I’m so blessed to have experienced everything I have through starting Jeco Bowl. It’s brought me so much joy, and it’s also broken me in unimaginable ways. From our Team, to event organisers, suppliers, and all the people who’ve supported us throughout (including the lovely guys at our storage facility!), I’ve met the most incredible people. Thank you to anyone who has supported us over the years, it truly means the world. My Mum, Dad, sister, and brother all worked and helped out so much over the years. I’m eternally grateful. They saw me at my highest, and definitely at my lowest. We had incredibly successful events (10,000 customers in three weeks), and we also had events where we only took £50. Missed birthdays, weddings, holidays, all to keep things moving forward. This post is mainly dedicated to my gorgeous best friend, @jessie.meads. I couldn’t have done any of this without you. My absolute rock throughout. Thank you from the bottom of my heart 🩷 And honestly, I think Fleetwood Mac carried us through (always top of our playlist!). Just so grateful. Jeco Bowl taught me this: say yes to (nearly) every opportunity, even if you don’t feel ready. And work hard, trust the process, and never ever give up. Taking every learning into @reco_hq. This is only the beginning 🚀
