It’s HUMP day!!! Or rather donation awareness day!! I’m raising money for research for Cystic Fibrosis patients!! Myself and other standout honorees are raising money for Chloe, Janson, and Ada who are pictured above!! These kids are wonderful and have already battled so much in their young lives! Anything helps!! Even just $1! These donations will help these kiddos with medications, nebulizers and other things they need! I’m tagging 5 people to take this post to reshare or donate $2! Challenge another 5 people to keep this going!! LINK IN BIO!!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Cystic Fibrosis - a defective gene that causes a thick buildup of mucus in the body - primarily lungs, pancreas, and other organs. The mucus clogs the airways and traps bacteria leading to infections, so a simple runny nose or cold for people without CF imagine how people with CF feel.

It was a beautiful day on Sunday to be back at NoDa for run club! Laura and I had fun promoting Charlotte Racefest along with two other upcoming Junction 311 races. Great to see everyone! P.S.: Don't forget to DM me if you would like the discount code for Charlotte Racefest. It's a Half Marathon and 10K on April 9 at 7:30 a.m. 🙂 #NBRC #NoDaBrewingRunClub #NoDaSundayRunday #NoDaintheWild #SundayRUNday #SundayRundayFunday #CharlotteRunningClub #CRC #CharlotteRunners #runCLTrun #optoutside #getoutside #TeamRWBCharlotte #TeamRWB #EagleFire #CharlotteRacefest #Junction311

Marathon 3 in the books. Started off really well. Got to see some family at mile 4. Mile 14, the struggle began. With nearly half the race left, I started to mentally second guess myself a lot. While the course is beautiful looking out at the sea, the trade off is no shade. Really struggled the last 4 miles, walking a lot. Fell short of my goals but stuck with it to the finish. Celebrated with the best of friends and family. I am thankful for them more than they know. Sights now set on @cellcomgreenbaymarathon with @brendancunnane, @mistabob010, and @busyoverboard. I leave you with some lyrics from one of my favorite new songs from @cloud_cult, One Way Out of a Hole. Are we on our own No, we're in this together Are we all alone No, we're parts of each other So screw the diagnosis, you're gonna be alright friend Uh-huh You deserve better, you don't need that crap You planned your whole life out, now burn that map Say, "What's the destination? Heck if I know!" What's the destination Which way do I go Which way do I go Which way do I go There's only one way out of a hole Come on let's go #myrtlebeachmarathon #runcltrun #runwithfriends #brooksrunning #twentysixpointtwo #noonesaiditwouldbeeasy #pinevillerc #pinevillerunclub #charlotterunningclub #crc #runmbm

Getting some answers starts with all of us. If you’re part of Charlotte’s running community, you might not wonder much about those who aren’t in it. Sure, there are non-running folks who would want no part of it anyway. But what about those who do run, but don’t view themselves as part of the group, aren’t sure of the way in, or feel uncomfortable while they’re here? Or worse still, those who feel they are unwelcome or unwanted? Running can’t save the world, per se, but running and runners can provide the forum to make it a better place. That starts with opening our eyes and ears to conversations that may not be familiar or comfortable. We hope you’ll read on for perspectives from just three of the folks doing what they do to make sure everyone finds room to run. Read this week's blog about diversity in running and why we all need to be a part of making it bigger and better.
