Monday nights in River Oaks just hit different👟🌇🔥

Nike demo night at Fleet Feet River Oaks brought the vibes — fresh kicks on our feet, a sunset run with the crew, and a little sneak peek at what’s coming for Chevron Houston Marathon week! 🏃‍♂️💨

This is what makes Houston’s running community so special. Good shoes, good people, and miles that bring us together. ❤️🤝

Big shoutout to @haydenricca for breaking it all down! 🙌👟

Who’s pulling up to the next Monday night night with Altra demo night? 👀🔥

A PROCLAMATION OF THEIR OWN DAY💙
Still so cool that September 23 is officially proclaimed in honor of our run club leaders @glentastica & @run_with_viv
Getting to be part of a community that these people have poured so much into makes this extra special. They show up, bring people together and make running about so much more than just the miles. So grateful for all they do and so happy to see them get the recognition they deserve!

Friends of El Salvador extends our deepest gratitude to everyone who joined us for Flores y Sonrisas and helped make this special evening a beautiful celebration of community, generosity, and our shared love for empowering communities toward self-sufficiency.

Every ticket, sponsorship, donation, and act of support helps create meaningful impact in 14 communities across El Salvador. Your generosity helps provide food and toiletry baskets for families, while supporting health and wellness programs that encourage active lifestyles and disease prevention. It also helps advance our ongoing work in education, community development, and creating opportunities for communities to thrive.

What makes this work possible is you! The friends, families, businesses, sponsors, volunteers, and community leaders who continue to believe that together we can make a difference, one community and one life at a time.

Thank you for showing up, giving generously, and helping us bring more flores y sonrisas to communities in El Salvador.

¡Mil gracias por ser parte de this journey!

What a beautiful evening! I had the joy of attending two events on the same night, each hosted by an organization doing meaningful work in our community.

First, I joined the open house for Civic Heart, led by the amazing @theanitabates . Then, I celebrated the kickoff for IM Houston’s Tapestry Gala, happening this November.

I enjoyed both events, but what made the evening truly special was the company. Surrounded by good people who care deeply, I left feeling inspired and grateful.

Thank you, IM Houston and Civic Heart, for the warm welcome and for the good you do!

What an incredible Sunday at VIVE! ❤️

Today, we celebrated 7 YEARS of God’s faithfulness! 🎉👏🏽 Seven years of seeing lives changed.

We don’t serve for recognition or honor, but we are incredibly grateful to have received an official proclamation from Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo recognizing VIVE Church and our impact in the community.

We’re thankful for every person who has been part of this journey, and we believe the best is still ahead.

Here’s to 7 years, VIVE! 🎉🙌🏽

Something New is happening!

This year the International Society for Krishna Consciousness of Houston celebrates 40 years and Commissioner McCoy helped them celebrate during their Krishna Janmashtami Festival. It was a time of reverence and excitement that even included a thrilling drone show.

I will always be a supporter of organized labor, the backbone of our community. My family and I were thrilled to join our union neighbors for the annual Labor Day BBQ Cook-off, reminding us of the people in the fight for all working families.
