een andere, zeer enthousiast ontvangen opdracht bevatte geen gebouwenlikkerij, maar wel een heleboel creatieve vrijheid. hij luidde: maak kunst in het bos. en zo geschiedde. p.s. de kunst in het bos heeft er niet voor gezorgd dat er natuur is verrijkt met niet-natuurlijke zaken die niet al vanaf voor de opdracht aanwezig waren in de hiervoor genoemde natuur. 1. zeer Boeijend. 2. Sjors Boomschors. 3. “Het kwaad kan mij niet raken met een lepel voor mijn neus.” De diepere laag is te vinden in de dichtbundel van Bram, genaamd: “Scheten in het bos”, uitgegeven in 1998 bij De Boekerij. 4. Gestolen kunst is nog steeds kunst. 5. het huis in de boom. 6. de man en de wolk 7. the making of de man en de wolk 8. kunst in de letterlijke zin van het woord. 9. gemaskerd. 10. de focus verleggen. 11. piemol. 12. de help. 13. tipisch 14. de boom in. 15. het portret. 16. radiostilte. 17. eigen interpretatie. 18. de kabouters.

wat. een. dag. gisteren bevond ik mij, samen met jullie, in de koortsdroom die de vierde kekkekarren texelrally was: lekker Boeijen, er is wéér een kekkekarren texelrally. wat heb ik me ongelooflijk vermaakt met jullie, jullie auto's en jullie achterlijke capriolen. er werden kerken gelikt, handstands gemaakt, pontjes gepakt, kunst gemaakt midden in de natuur en uiteraard ijsjes gegeten. en dat allemaal op een auto-evenement... ik verbaas me telkens weer over wat ik opschrijf en dan vervolgens nog tientallen keren meer over wat jullie ook allemaal daadwerkelijk doen... verander nooit, alstublieft. nogmaals, zoals gewoonlijk: dank jullie. dank jullie voor het meenemen van jullie bijzondere normale auto's en jullie uitzonderlijke persoonlijkheden. dank voor jullie enthousiasme, blijdschap en onverminderde support. het blijft voor mij een kadootje om dit allemaal te kunnen doen. ook dank aan de crew, bestaande uit held @carsoftheweezenhof en fotogenies @glennslopsma en @semberger_ . dank aan @toyotanederland en @wouterspanjaart voor de auto's. dank. allen. tot april... xxx daan 📸 @glennslopsma #kekkekarren #lekkerboeijenerisweereenkekkekarrentexelrally #kekkekarrentexelrally4 #kekkekarrentexelrally #autoevent

Met de #lekkerboeijenerisweereenkekkekarrentexelrally was de vierde #kekkekarrentexelrally een feit. Ik was zeer competitief ingesteld (dat heb ik met quizzen en puzzelritten) en heb dus niet zoveel foto’s gemaakt van deze prachtige oktoberdag. Hierbij toch een aantal impressies. Dikke merci aan @kekkekarren, @carsoftheweezenhof, @glennslopsma en @semberger_ voor de feilloze organisatie en omkadering! En aan @bazigheden om de gedroomde teamgenoot van team BBB (de échte) te zijn #doerustig #uitdeweg Zoals gewoonlijk hadden we een prachtig portret voorzien van wie niet in het team zit. De hoedenplank van de BX Break biedt gigantisch veel ruimte voor fotokadertjes. De kekke Cinquecento Soleil van @poloparking met copiloot @mrfoxcars Zelfportret met zieke outfit #twochains, rode BX en groene Dyane BX Image van team Fryslân. BX 2/3! Nakaarten bij Tante Lien. Twee BX Breaks, één mét en één zonder turbo Overal file in en rond Nijmegen BX aan de Maas Bas dronk vieze troep in de auto maar was wel fan van de BX Baas en adjunct-baas Dyane en Punto in de Weezenhof Boomknuffelaar Veel mooie Citroëns aan de start Een aanzienlijk aandeel van de overgebleven BX Breaks in Nederland en België nam deel Kunst en poëzie in het bos

Many people consider the Landrovers to be the best 4x4xfar. Yet they’re not entirely known to be reliable. A Porsche Cayenne is an SUV, with better reliability. And isn’t capable of going off-road. Or is it… @raymotion.nl has some tricks up their sleeve to change all this. Increased ride-height. Overlanding accessories. Decent tires. And there you go. Ready for action. I had the pleasure of using it last weekend during the @baronierijders Brabant Grens Rit together with Jelle (@jellevanuem). And became a huge fan: it just doesn’t stop. That GTS V8 sounds excellent and performs perfectly. Also got to try Benchmark hill and the only thing stopping the car there might be the weight. Excellent package. E30. BMW Motorsport colors. Warsteiner all over it. “M3” badge in grille and on trunk, awesome. But… where’s the fender-flares? Well, only a tribute? Maybe with a luscious M20B25 straight-six, definitely a good alternative. Sounds like a 4-banger though… Wait… It can’t be, can it? Yes, for both the Italian and Portugese market BMW made a 2000cc downsized M3, for fiscal reasons. The “320iS”. No fenderflares. But yes: S14. But “B20” instead of “B23”. Still 191hp (!!!). And, as production numbers are way lower than the regular M3: very special. It was even available as a 4-door, the ultimate sleeper. This one competed in last weekend’s “Brabant Grensrit”, organized by the @baronierijders. I competed as well, together with Jelle (@jellevanuem) but that’s for another day. Tomorrow. 📸 Some more shots from last sunday @zoabmagazine his Alfa definitely fits the scene in Amsterdam. #lekkermetdemeiden Not a 911! This was a (very good-looking) 912 with an original sunroof. #porscheclassic #porsche912 The reflections here at the Albert Cuypmarkt are always fun to play with Lisa and I brought our trusty '72 DS. This seemed to invite another DS, a 21 'Injection Electronique'. The friendly owner told me this was his sixth DS. He's also had 2CV's and a CX. Proper Citroën fanatic. #citroends #moteurflottant #patinaperfection on this 404 Big love for this early Ami Break. Lisa approved as well, so now I can buy one I guess. I'd want the original Ami with the goofy rear window though! Period correctness 🎾🎾 Never noticed before, but the 'Pallas' trim is the same on an Ami as on a DS. No LHM here yet. This ID was so old that it still had the red LHS system. Wonder if this place still exists. Must have been fancy with the chrome lettering. Way cooler interior than in the later models. Very original car. According to the owner, it has never even been resprayed, which is super rare for an ID/DS. The color is a bit too dark for me, but I'll take it anyway. @jellevanuem with the OG #twingo in Vert Coriandre. Last but not least, @jobjoris his new purchase, a Spanish #Renault5. Love the period correct 'tuning' parts. Stripes and extra foglights are always cool 😎 Not sure if he likes driving it though!

Mother Nature was once again very kind to us for the 5th edition of Cars & Friends Breda. Apparently she’s a fan by now. The morning started off in the garden with some cars, coffee, worstenbroodjes, and a bit too much time spent debating who invited the #Geldroverclub Breda. We had the largest fleet of participating cars to date, with the usual oddball mix that makes this so event so fun to begin with (you never know what people are going to show up in…). As I’m currently inbetween cars myself, I was more than a little grateful to @kekkekarren for lending me his Fiat Tempra, a car that I sort of really want but also don’t really want. From there the drive took us on and “off-road,” all the way to Belgium for patat, because no proper rally is complete without a border crossing for friet. A big thank you to all the friends who made it out this year and for your continued enthusiasm. Watching this grow every edition, and seeing you all make the trip back year after year despite the distance, is really what makes this worth organising. Here’s to many more editions to come!

Today my friend Patrik @volante.volante of @spiritmagazin posted super nice shots from a moody shooting with the old and new Renault Twingo! You should really check out his post (see my story) as he shot the two adorable cars from every angle - except from one! So here's the missing shot from above, from my own shoot with @jobjoris, @jellevanuem and @colin_crameri! With this shooting on top of the Valle di Lei hydro-dam in Switzerland we not only created a cool set of pictures, but also proved the capabilities of the new Twingo E-Tech, by driving it all the way from the mouth of the river Rhine in Hoek van Holland near Rotterdam to the source of the same river Rhine at 1'200 kilometers of distance and 2'000 metres of elevation in the Swiss Alps! ondanks dat ik me nu in Italië bevind, het land van stijl, klasse en elegantie (zie de Turijncompilatiepost), kan ik #muricamonday natuurlijk niet overslaan. compleet aan de andere kant van het spectrum van plekken om je te bevinden staat de Zwarte Cross. daar was ik een aantal weekenden geleden met @glennslopsma en @jellevanuem (dankzij taxibedrijf @stendrt). op de weg erheen vonden wij het beste vervoer voor naar de ZC: namelijk deze Cadillac Fleetwood Limousine. met een vijfliter V8 en een leeggewicht van bijna 2200kg is het een èchte stadsknaller. perfect voor de bergweggetjes waar ik deze dagen met de Tempra overheen scheur (lees: kruip). wat zeggen jullie: moet er een kekkekarren zakenlimousine komen? 📸 @daanweber #kekkekarren #cadillac #cadillacfleetwoodlimo #kekkecadillac

Had a great time joining @zoabmagazine at his #carscoffeecuyp last Sunday, catching up with familiar faces and meeting a few new ones. There’s a reason I keep coming back to this one. ;-) Honestly was a bit worried the rain and summer holidays would keep people away, but the turnout still great! Managed to sneak in a few photos once it dried up a bit. Rolled in with the Verde Lattementa Fiat 500 and I think we all agreed that’s the best colour you can get on a 500 (with the best wheels you can get). Funnily enough it was a near-match for the gorgeous pair of Alfa’s from @imagestreetclassics both in Azzurro Spazio. Green vs blue, technically, but close enough that it’s all in the details. Once again a great mix cars, from a rare Busso-engined Alfa 6 and a very clean Mark 1, to an absolutely massive Cadillac used as a daily in Amsterdam. Citroën were again well represented as was the Panda crew this time. Also credit to @jellevanuem, as his Renault Laguna just keeps looking better every time I see it. Seems @stendrt is putting a lot of TLC into that one.
