Meet Jen Faller, one of Drew’s best friend Chase’s mom. Drew loved spending time with Jen & the Faller family including their dog Charlie. It was always a good time at the Summit playing tag, swimming , tennis & pickle ball.

Dear Drew,
April 14, 2023 Chase was bored and wanted a plan. You were training all morning & your mom thought you may need to rest after( who was she kidding?) On your way home ,you told Chase come “NOW” & Chase “FLOWER” as you called him was on his way. Basketball , bike riding, and off to mini golf. When I picked up, Chase’s grandma was in the car “Hi Mom Patty” you said. How did you get that name? You always asked a ton of questions and gave us so much info. We got the stats on tennis kids your age who are homeschooled, updates on your rankings,tournaments, &summer travel plans. We told you not to forget us when you played at the US Open & you promised Mom Patty a free pass too.

You came back to our house after to hang for the night. Your mom always felt bad & worried it would be too much. Mom Patty, Grandpa & Cole were there and we all wanted nothing more than to have you. Craig cooked up a BBQ, you ate steak, chicken, veggies, french fries and you sat at the head of the table. In Drew style, you held court! We had some funny conversations & talked how you were being scouted by some top Division 1 colleges. Craig and Chase begged you not to go to Michigan as Chase was still lobbying to be roommates at Syracuse. Grandpa only wanted to talk about basketball and your unbelievable shooting skills. You LOVED the brownies and black & whites from the Malverne bakery & claimed they were the BEST you ever had!

You, Craig, & Chase headed over to the pickleball courts. It was YOU vs them! Chase wanted to mess around, but you always had your game face on. You beat them single-handedly. Drew, you were the fiercest competitor on the court and the fiercest friend off the court. April 14, it was the most perfect day and night forever engrained in my heart. Drew, you are one of a kind, an inspiration, a hero, a legend, and we carry you with us always. We miss you always and endlessly. DHASS on TOP
