October pick! Poison Daughter by @sheilareadsandwrites and I think October better get ready for this heat 🔥. We have already started reading and the notes are unanimous: the most addictive book yet, and no one is getting any sleep for it. The book is also gorgeous. And this amazing author originally self-published, then BookTock took it to 250K sales, then there came a nine-publisher auction, whereby @slowburn.reads acquired the rights for a traditional release, and now Hulu has bought the rights to make a series. Now THAT, my friends, is one badass author carving her way in a very challenging industry. I bow. The book is waiting for you @godmothersbooks front desk for 15% off. October 27, 6pm, Palihouse Hotel Bar, downtown SB. See u in the circle! ✌🏼 & 💜 & Ticket Link in Bio.

September 2026. @ariel.lawhon The Pirate Queen.

When you read a story about a woman like Gráinne, who felt so equal to Queen Elizabeth that she did not bow when she faced her…

You realize that you could still claim even more of your own power.

This is how important books are. 💚

My undying love to this author and this group. And a very special Thank You to our Queen @silviarubioballon for bringing us all together by saying yes to me.

See you in the circle.

We were already totally in love with @naimacoster before we received her gorgeous video thanking @getlitbookclubs for reading, all while carrying her newborn while watching her other children play. She is a woman for all women. And each of was touched in our own way with her exquisite love story in Take What You Can. What an honor to fold ourselves into your beautiful writing, just like Milly did with her mother. We love you Milly & Val, and we take to heart meeting you, Naima. Cheers 🥂 and Thank You. 💜

Gorgeous fashion, great women, and a beautiful community…that’s my kind of afternoon. ✨ it was a pleasure hosting last week’s @caracara_nyc Pre-Fall pop-up at Wunderkind Montecito. Thank you to all the women who came out to shop, connect, and support. I’m endlessly grateful for this community and loved sharing the day with Cara Cara’s cofounder @hobkat 🤍 Thank you for the perfect pics @izabellapatchick

One day. Three beaches. I could not stop walking this book out in the world with me. And then I read a passage from page 50: “But the book wasn’t about them; it was about outdoorswomen, how you could remake yourself in wild places, shed the things that haunted you and pick up the strength you might need.”
@naimacoster your work of art is so powerful that I felt this message before the words were revealed to me. Thank you 💫. Tuesday August 25 @ 6pm Palihouse Hotel Bar, downtown SB. See you in the circle! ✌🏼 & 💜 & Ticket Link in Bio.

Get Lit July 2026: Helpless by @jessicaknollauthor. To be clear, we will never forget you, Faye, you absolute stick of dynamite. This scorcher of a book made an unforgettable club, riding the edge of sanity full speed. And @jessicaknollauthor on behalf of the entire group: are they or are they not dead??????? We can make our conclusions from there. You can DM me the answer and I’ll drop it in the WhatsApp. 🫢

When I chose Get Lit July book Helpless by @jessicaknollauthor I didn’t know she’d have a talk @godmothersbooks. This was just a total bonus. Fave quote of the night, “I want people to close the book and say, That was so fucking interesting.” Which is exactly why I chose it. See you in the circle July 28 / Palihouse Hotel Bar. ✌🏼 & 💜 & Tickets in Bio.
