Something new is about to hit @thedistrictateastover.

@chefderekemerson’s latest concept, @masa_mesa_jxn, plans to open March 9th. And if you know Derek, you know he doesn’t do anything halfway.

Bold flavors. Thoughtful details.
A place built for gathering.

Because at the end of the day, it is not just about what is on the table. It is about who you share it with.

LeFleur East keeps growing.
And it is even better when we grow together.

2025 was a year of celebrating and getting celebrated, the best weekend trips, breaking ground on our house, lots of laughter, and a new nephew. 2026 brings in new beginnings and the year I finally get to marry this handsome man

So honored for our photographer and friend @amyherndonphoto to make her first stop in Jackson to capture Gracie’s forever favorite @walkersdrivein. @jenemerson1 and @chefderekemerson wowed everyone at the wedding reception with a fantastic menu of all their restaurant top picks! We will treasure these pictures as the Emerson family closes this chapter and moves on to new restaurant adventures!! It will always be our spot where family celebrations took place!!

I FINALLY did the durn thing y’all! I took off on a day trip to Memphis/Germantown to visit one of the dreamiest fairytale shops I have ever experienced!

I’ve been following @johnmarkenterprises for a very long time and have day dreamed of finding the time to visit his store and so I had a few hours to myself and I took off on a 3 hour drive to make it happen.

I truly was speechless for the first hour I was there. I walked around with my eyes wide and mouth open in utter disbelief at the beautiful things and amazing creations around me. I genuinely couldn’t even speak.

His shop, his bows, the colors and textures, the ornaments, the ribbons, the smells, and the music are everything I would dream of in my most perfect holiday dream.

My momma and I had a tradition of spending a day, grabbing lunch and going to places like this before Christmas to see all the beautiful new holiday trends and ideas. We loved the same things, a little funky, eccentric, bright and over the top!

My Momma is in Heaven now and this is the first time I was brave enough to go and experience something like this without her and completely alone.

Driving there with 3 hours of time on my hands, I felt heartbroken and sad and honestly I cried most of the way because I just miss my Momma.

When I pulled open the door and stepped in the shop, all my fear, sadness and heartbreak disappeared and I was immediately uplifted and full of joy! It such a magical, healing place to visit and I’m so grateful I was brave enough and took the time for a roadtrip, just for me!

Do yourself a favor and make the trip to Memphis and experience this magical place @johnmarkenterprises.

You won’t be sorry! ❤️💕🤸‍♀️💕🤸‍♂️❤️
