Lil late, but man did September hurt.
It’s been a crazy month to be a woman in this day and age and skin. This month I feel like I was at war with ptsd, depression, neurodivergence, and even if afterwards I feel like I won, it was still war nonetheless lol.

A few major take aways:
-Women all over the world have (silently) suffered from some form/aspect of the Cornell7. Men…………………….do better. Like in every way possible. Do better.
-Choosing to not be political about anything at all is a tacky privilege in my book. Try, even just a little.
-Empathy without boundaries takes from our ability to live life for ourselves.
-Growth and healing is not some cute and some glamorized aesthetic, it gets quite ugly. It’s uncomfortable, lonely, even painful but see it through and I believe it’s one of the most amazing things life can offer.
-Genuine, true, sincere love for yourself, esp for people who struggle with anxious attachments is very very very important. Protip: Listen to Whitney’s greatest love of all on repeat and I mean really listen to her. It helps.

I designed and made this fitted corset dress for @jenetastclair’s wedding. She wanted the idea of a corset and chemise as the wedding dress to show off her amazing figure. The dress is fully boned all the way around and the pattern was made to hug her every curve. She is a stunning, sexy bride! Thank you @marissa_soto_official for the assist. August was hell. Heatwaves, Dolly’s gone, bad news left n right, and end of FY has officially arrived. If anyone has a punching bag I can post up in this apartment please let me have it lol.

I think navigating life’s shitty parts just always ends up being pouring love back into yourself and the people who look for you.

July was for the bitches.
Aka me, I’m bitches. 😂

I did a lot of things for myself by myself this month — not the intentional day to yourself kind of day, the ones where you ask your ppl to come out and they can’t because plans/ life etc. And it wasn’t about others’ capabilities to show up, but my own ability to experience being alone. Rejection sensitivity is a sore spot for me. It was uncomfortable, foreign even - so much that it didn’t even feel good when I would try or the moment after. It took time for me to recognize how beneficial and lucky I am to even have the luxury of time and space to do that for myself. I think that’s common for a lot of people who are so used to giving so much of themselves to others. I saw a comment that said “anyone comfortable doing things alone is unstoppable.” Invite ya girl to things pls lol, but until then………cheers to more solo 3am movie showings, sushi dinners, matcha trials, golf-tivities, exploration etc. ♥️🫂

My birthday is tomorrow and I leave LA on Wednesday. I am feeling a lot of feelings and finally started getting weepy about saying goodbye to California over the past few days. Moving back here is something I’ve wanted since I was little and it was truly the best gift I ever could have given myself. I have too many thoughts and feelings swirling around my brain at the moment to really put all this into words, but I feel like the luckiest person to have come back and learned so much about myself, spent quality time with my Nana, achieved my many goals, been shown grace through all my mistakes and missteps, explored tons of new hobbies, and have so many people I need to squeeze before I go. My heart hurts a little bit, but I think about this when I think about how much I miss my nana and papa- how lucky am I to have loved so much! That chunky California baby really got it good.
