RITUAL September 6
A Day Into Night Celebration for the achievements of Black artistry in House Music.

The Nursery 3-9pm
Lovie is a DC but resides in NYC where she is a Co-founder of Soul Connection and she imbues the power of friendship and Black femme empowerment into sumptuous house music and 90’s R&B spun with the patience and musicality associated with East Coast house music. Connecting the mind, to the body, to the Soul, Lovie ‘s sets inspire the warmest, most community minded dance floors.

Jenifa Mayanja- Raw artistry, excellence and pure love Kan best describe Ugandan born Jennifer Mayanja’s aesthetic as a DJ, producer, music artist and educator. While other DJs place value on mass exposure, Jennifer Mayanja’s DJ ethos is about reverence and preservation of House music culture, while injecting love and craft of DJing back into the game.

Sound Room 6pm-12am
Leonce born in New Orleans and now resides in NYC. Leonce is uncompromising, blending elements of American Urban and experimental Electronica, a hardline style that influenced his development as a producer.

BLKshine (Darryl Terrell) Detroit Born, Brooklyn based DJ & Visual Artist whose sound moves fluidly btwn the deep musical lineage of Detroit and the vibrant club cultures of Chicago & NYC. Their sets are smooth, intentional and a groove forward designed to pull you out of your head and back into your body.
Labor Day is a time to celebrate our achievements and appreciate our personal collective accomplishments. This party is here to remind you of the certain value that Black artists have in the history and future of House Music.
It’s a call to rejoice in our individual & collective achievements as we take pride in the contributions we make around the world.

Rules of engagement:
We work to provide a comfortable space for every one of all genders and ethnic groups. If you need to regulate your body temperature, please take a break. Our goal is to maintain a heterogenous, inclusive dance floor.
If you’re caught using GHB/GBL or any actions thereof, you’ll be asked to leave immediately! This is not the vibe!
Please let us know if you need assistance. We’re accessible to all.

A staple at PR since the early days, Ugandan-born @jenifamayanja has been deeply entrenched in the underground for over 30 years as a DJ, producer, label head, and mentor, developing a reputation as an innovative, fearless, and respected ambassador for women in house. Her own naturalistic take on deep house centers reverence and preservation of the culture over mass exposure. Tonight [SAT 8.1], she curates all three rooms, featuring @scottgroovesdj, @tracibeats, @k.tea.mp3, + @djnyack.

Find tickets on @dicefm via link in bio.

Coming to you on a Friday afternoon to say, save some energy for this Sunday as we have a legend in the booth at @systeme_mtl

@jenifamayanja is here to share her dancing spirit. Her discography is a gold mine of what can truly be defined as Deep House... in it's essence and effect!

Please come join us and get in to or further your experience of the Bu-mako/Sound Warrior sound.

FYI Jenifa is a regular at @publicrecordsnyc , one of these parties would be the perfect date to plan a trip around :-)

Joining her will be the one and only @genetellem in the Systeme booth for the 1st time since the switch. What a treat! These two have had an enduring relationship through the years, hosting Jenifa for parties in the past & both being on @wolfmusic WOLF059 where Jen provided a remix of GTs 'Ain't Got Everything'.

It's a family thing!
