The festive hour approaches, and the joyful Wainwright-McGarrigle holiday saga continues!

We’re returning to New York City’s Town Hall on December 6 for “Manhattan for the Holidays,” continuing a beloved family tradition benefitting The Kate McGarrigle Fund and Folk Cancer: The Kate McGarrigle Project.

Joined by special guests Cyndi Lauper, Alice Phoebe Lou, Loudon Wainwright III, Lucy Wainwright Roche, and more, the evening will feature festive favorites, family classics, and unforgettable collaborations - all in honor of our mother, Kate McGarrigle, and to help raise money in the fight against cancer.

House of Rufus members get early access to VIP tickets starting tomorrow at 9am ET, followed by the general ticket pre-sale Thursday at 12pm ET. General onsale begins Friday at 12pm ET.

A beautiful evening celebrating the life, music and lyrics of the great #LoudonWainwrightIII @loudo3 took place at Town Hall @townhallnyc on the occasion of his 80th Birthday.

His whole extended family, all his talented kids (even the one who’s not a professional singer), his friends and collaborators came out from all over the world to perform the music of Loudon.

“In 2008, we started doing a radio show on Sirius Radio, New York Shuffle, out of Lou’s apartment. We did it there, rather than a studio, because the magic of those shows was, we forgot we were doing a radio show. For half of the show, we played music that we loved, and the other half was music we hadn’t heard before. We built the show with the idea it was against the record business philosophy of two great songs and the rest filler. No artist we have any respect for puts filler on their record. So we’d get a new album by an artist and hit shuffle, play whatever came up. It was discovery for us.
