Introducing VISIONARIES!

At the heart of The Stephenson Ceramics Legacy Project is VISIONARIES, a new exhibition that offers visitors an unprecedented look into the lives and creative journeys of Susanne and John Stephenson.

This exhibition offers viewers a glimpse into the couple’s remarkable careers as artists, educators, travelers, and community builders. Visitors will gain insight into the experiences and creative timeline that shaped these two influential figures in contemporary ceramic art who were both graduates from the renowned Cranbrook Academy of Art. John, Professor Emeritus at The University of Michigan Penny Stamps School of Art and Design from 1959-1995 and Susie, Professor Emeritus at Eastern Michigan University School of Art and Design from 1963-1991, spent their lives cultivating a rich community in the ceramic arts.

VISIONARIES serves as both a celebration of their accomplishments and a foundation for preserving their stories for future generations.

Opening Reception Saturday, June 27th | 6-8 PM
Live jazz, refreshments, and the perfect summer night to enjoy community and art. Come on out and bring a friend!
