Oh my pawd - we had SO much fun @thedodo #bestdogdayever event at @brookfieldplny! It really was the best day - first, Petey met his his fraternal twin @lizapawzelli, then we met up with our furiends @patrick_the_papillon @codycuddlebug @lifewithpenny and @ruby_dog.rb, and then we ate a #poochini from @shakeshack - that was Bingo’s favorite part!! A sappy note from my mom (@jentystik) and Dad (@daniel.p.bliss): “This is Bingo’s belated gotchya day celebration. We adopted Bingo the day after we moved in to a new apartment in Sacramento, CA. February 2, 2015. We had actually tried to adopt a different dog the previous year, but it wasn’t a good fit for us or the right time (that dog was ultimately a foster fail, so he’s doing great now). We were both excited and nervous to meet a new dog and potentially bring him home. And actually, Dad wasn’t sold on the idea and wanted a hypoallergenic poodle mix. Well, we both fell in love the day we met Bingo. The top right is his Petfinder photo and he was that happy and silly and goofy when we met him. He was being fostered on a farm so ran around and played with us and even let us take him on a walk. As most of you know he was found as a stray in Oakland, CA and was essentially deemed unadoptable by the animal shelter because he scored so low on his behavioral assessment. Well, it was instant best bro love between Dad and Bingo, and he melted my (mom’s) heart. We decided to bring him home that day, and as if he was always a part of our family, he hopped right in the car ready for his new life and the adventure that awaited. And he’s been like that ever since. Loyal, trusting, and always up for an adventure especially if it involves a car ride. He’s the best faithful companion we could’ve ever asked for. He has taught us so much about how to persevere and live a happy life despite all the crappy stuff that can happen along the way. Its hard to remember what our lives were like before we adopted him.
