Apparently, being professional means putting on a jacket and looking like you’ve never found anything funny.

Which is awkward. Because most of my clients are brilliant at what they do AND a good laugh.

I want your photos to show the woman people will actually meet when they book you. Including the one who starts laughing halfway through her very serious business photo.

She’s always my favourite.

The Ann you @twiqk_official for inviting me to discuss how AI is affecting aesthetic practice. Our specialty is always moving forwards and at the forefront of advancements is Artificial Intelligence. In our podcast we discuss the us of AI by both practitioners and patients. How we can keep patients safe and expectations real in the forever changing artificial world we tap into. #thamesskinclinic #medicalaesthetics #drannahemming #safetyinbeauty #ccrexpo @

Introducing Vitta Skinplan.

Something new is coming to professional skincare.

Created by an experienced aesthetic nurse prescriber, Vitta Skinplan is being developed to help clinics manage personalised skincare recommendations, support their patients beyond the consultation and make ongoing skincare purchasing easier using monthly subscriptions.

For practitioners, it’s about keeping skincare connected to the clinic and the professional advice behind it.

For patients, it’s about having a skincare routine that makes sense, with products selected for their individual needs (rather than from what’s on someone’s shelf), all sent straight to their door every month.

We’re looking forward to showing you more.

For clinics. For practitioners. For your patients.

Coming soon.

Well this was a brilliant way to spend a Friday 😂

Five aesthetic nurses in the studio today. Loads of outfit changes, scrubs, products, selfies, dancing and plenty of taking the mickey.

They all have their own businesses doing similar things, but they’re there for each other. I loved that.

Had such a laugh with them. So many photos to follow.

Opening the BAMAN Autumn Aesthetic Conference as Chair, I looked out at a room full of nurses and felt an enormous sense of pride but also responsibility that I take very seriously.

Because BAMAN has never belonged to one Chair, one Board or one moment in time. It belongs to its members. We are simply the custodians of what comes next.

And over those two days, I think you could really feel what that means.

A Board united in its purpose. A room full of nurses choosing to learn, question, share and challenge. The highest collaborative education, honest conversations and a collective commitment to raising standards and protecting patients.

And this year brought something very special, our BAMAN Awards. 💜

A chance to stop and celebrate the nurses, achievements & contributions within our profession. To recognise excellence, yes but also the people, commitment and community behind it and we did it with an accredited process.

There was laughter, friendship and plenty of fun too. Because amongst all the serious conversations about where our profession is heading, that sense of belonging matters.

As aesthetic nursing continues to evolve, our voice needs to be strong, credible and heard. We need to be part of the conversations around education, prescribing, regulation, governance and patient safety and we need to be prepared to have those conversations openly, even when they are difficult.

Sharing the weekend with people such as Mandy Cameron, thinking of those nurses in our prayers, was a lovely reminder that none of us starts from scratch. We inherit the work and determination of those who came before us, and we have a responsibility to leave the profession stronger for those who come next.

To our Board, our speakers, our partners and everyone behind the scenes who made it happen thank you.

But most importantly, to our members, thank you for showing up, contributing and trusting us to represent you.

There is still so much to do. But looking around that room, and then watching our profession celebrate one another at the BAMAN Awards, I came away more certain than ever:

we are stronger when we do it together. 💜

Very proud to be your Chair.

Sorry for the incoming spam… I literally haven’t stopped, so I’m finally catching up on my posts and my life!
BAMAN Autumn Conference in Birmingham was AMAZINGGG. I spent two days seeing my fave people and learning from the best: Prof Sebastian Cotofana on toxin anatomy, Julie Brackenbury on consent after Montgomery, Gillian Murray on hyaluronidase and Amy Bird on the future of aesthetic nursing, plus live demos and great panels.
Then I was HIGHLY COMMENDED for the Social Media Strategy Award. It’s one of the few awards you can’t buy: judging is independent and anonymous, and members vote too. So this one really means something.
This is why events like this matter. Running your own clinic can feel isolating, and these days keep you learning, safe, accountable and connected. I met so many amazing people.
Next up is the BAMAN North West Regional Meeting in Preston in one week. Who’s coming? I have 4 invites left for 4 amazing healthcare professionals to join us for the day and network and learn from the best!

What a day at CCR 💛 I had the pleasure of chairing an incredible panel of dermatologists in medical aesthetics for @ccrlondon @aestheticsjournaluk with @drclarekiely @dremwedgeworth @dralexisgranite

Dermatology and aesthetics complement each other so well, and aesthetics innovates fast. But the worrying thing is treating skin without a proper diagnosis.

Patients are treated by a dermatologist and an aesthetic practitioner often without either of them knowing. Lack of continuity of care and treatment history puts patients and practitioners at risk.

We all agreed: this needs to be addressed urgently. More collaboration, higher standards, and a #treatmentpassport that follows the patient.

CCR is not a collection of stands and visitors. It’s the people in our industry coming together to share, learn, support and make change.

So lovely to see familiar faces and meet new ones. Support from people who truly care about patient safety means a lot. Brilliant event @shannonkilgariff @easyfairsuk

It was genuinely special 🙏

My Tribe
Come with me to the @bamanurses Conference 2026

Two days surrounded by my tribe: registered health care professional who share one goal. We want medical aesthetics to be recognised as the specialty it is, delivered by qualified, regulated individuals.

Here’s what I’m bringing back to the clinic in Stockport:
✔️ The latest evidence-based techniques and safety updates
✔️ Better ways to assess, consent and plan treatment for you
✔️ New insights into skin health, ageing and menopause-related skin changes
✔️ A stronger commitment to ethical, honest aesthetics, including telling you when a treatment isn’t right for you

At AL Medical Aesthetics & Wellness, every treatment starts with a thorough consultation with a registered nurse. Clinical standards come first. There are no quick fixes and no pressure, just results that look like you on your best day.

When you choose who treats your face, ask:
👉 Are they a registered healthcare professional?
👉 Can they prescribe or work with a prescriber?
👉 Do they keep learning and stay up to date?
Your face deserves nothing less.

📩 Book your consultation through the link in bio

What an incredible two days! 🤍

The Clarity Clinic team has just returned from the BAMAN Autumn Aesthetic Conference - two days of learning, connecting and being inspired by some of the leading voices in our field.

One of the things we value most about BAMAN is the genuine sense of community. Spending time with so many brilliant nurses and colleagues, sharing experiences, exchanging ideas and learning from one another is a wonderful reminder of why being part of this profession means so much to us.

We’re incredibly proud to be part of BAMAN and of our commitment to safe, ethical and evidence-based medical aesthetics. As a team, we’re determined not simply to meet the standards expected within our sector, but to play our part in continually raising them.

Of course, it wasn’t all learning… 🥂✨

We also had the opportunity to swap the scrubs for something a little more glamorous, let our hair down and celebrate the achievements of our wonderful colleagues at the BAMAN Awards.

We’ve come home feeling inspired, energised and very proud to be part of such a fantastic community.

Here’s to continuing to learn, evolve and raise the bar together. 🤍

Two days away from clinic. Two days invested in my patients! 🌟 🍂

I'm back from the 2026 BAMAN Autumn Conference and it was packed with valuable learning, clinical updates, inspiring speakers, and networking with fellow medical aesthetic nurses.

Behind every treatment is ongoing education, evidence-based practice, and a commitment to patient safety.

Now it's time to bring those insights back to clinic!
