PUMA DEVIATE PURE; Purely Fast. Let’s not forget Purely Fun too!!!

Several run clubs were invited for this event held on 17th September 2026 at Swee Lee Clarke Quay. PUMA Deviate PURE was officially released here back in June. To date I had logged in more than 100KM in mine; solo and group runs, these shoes can take any paces perfectly. By now, you should have known how I really love my Feline line ups. 🐾🐾🐾

When run clubs gathered, obviously there had to be a short and scenic run. There were few models of PUMA on trials. See that red and orange PUMA bandanas we adorned? Gave the hazy evening that pop of colours! After our 4KM run, we had food and drinks plus a short Kahoot quiz session to test if we were really listening to what were shared about PUMA Deviate PURE.

To me, the highlight of the evening was Matcha Whisking demo. I am not a matcha drinker but learning about the different shades of green and the taste really made me fascinated.

Oh by the way, meet Ivory. There is an Ebony but she is a story for another day. 😉

The Pocari Sweat Run is slowly becoming a yearly affair for me. 3rd consecutive year participating, and I’m not complaining! 💙

A bright and early 10km, familiar faces, good vibes, and another memorable morning with the running community. Grateful to @pocarisg once again for the opportunity.

And I’m really liking the new Stadium Roar venue, definitely a refreshing change of scenery!

This and That.

The race that was done differently proved to be the most fun. Had barely 4 hours of sleep and a shakeout run done at 7:45pm 🤭 (that one was super exciting!). None of the usual race pace preps but had a sort of race-strategy talk with Helmi. Strategy was, “This race, prepares you for this one, that one for that one and BOOM! A-Race!” Heh? 🤣🤣🤣 “But make sure don’t injured can already.”

So today, as I was racing, I kept repeating, “Only 10KM. This one training for that one. If this one you cannot do, then that one forget it.”

PB breakers. Super proud of Joan for breaking 2 PB for 2 consecutive weeks! And the other cutie, Weiqi, for being able to make it to the start line eventually 🤭. Next time, cannot like that ah. 🤣🤣🤣

They are the reasons why I would travel all the way to Kallang almost every Wednesday!

Ah this one… the one who kena shooed for standing in the same row as me at the start line. Excuse me! “You go front lah! Don’t sibuk here.” But I always looked forward to meet this dude. He makes running fashionable! Today he said I looked like McDonald’s French Fries. 🤣🤣🤣

Finally we meet again after last year’s GEWR! First thing she said to me was, “Eh, I busuk…” hello… you sorang jer ke? That’s why Pocari Racepack got wet wipes lah… for masam people. 🤣🤣🤣

Uncles and Aunties Group. Sit down cos everywhere aching. 🤣🤣🤣

Celebrating our 61st National Day with a @irunsingapore x @newbalance 6.1km run as runners get to try out the newly launched New Balance SuperComp Rebel V6 and SC Elite v6.

Ended the run with some food and coffee at @cshhcoffee and everyone get a goodie bag with iRun vouchers and a tumbler from @ppp.coffee

Thanks @the_khai_who_runs & crew from IRun for organising this run and bringing the running community together to celebrate National Day! We all enjoyed ourselves!

Putting it here for memories sake.

Thanks to the run crew and event crew for the help. I had less than a month to plan this.

Hardly can i witness a mass diversity of running community all in 1 place. This event is trully special.

Nevertheless of any shortcomings or what shd be done to be better, fuck it, this event was damn awesome and for me was a success.

Huge turn out, awesome weather, awesome sponsor by New balance. Supportive and ever raedy crew, delicious snacks(nvr get the chance too eat 1 tho) and fantastic coffee.

The only regret that i always hv during events like this, is unable to connect to everyone or even say hi and would like to apologize for this. Hope to reconnect with u guys on the PCN soon.

Of course we must run the distance according to any special event. This time it is 6.1KM to commemorate Singapore’s 61st National Day.

Crew Reporting Time: 6:30am at Chye Seng Huat Hardware.

Have you checked out the newly released New Balance SC Elite v6 and New Balance SC Rebel v1?

By 7:30am, the compound of CSHH was packed with estimated 200 runners ready to take on the 6.1KM run. Most of them managed to try on the New Balance shoes that were on trial.

Introduction and briefing first. Eh… my camera roll captured these 2 who later on created history on this day. 😉

50KM total mileage in for my NB SC Rebel v1 since day of release. Loving them! Another post for what I think of them.
