Happy birthday to my baby brother, Jayed! I am ever thankful that God blessed me with a brother like you. Since you’ve moved to Seattle, my appreciation for our conversations and our sibling bond has magnified exponentially. Though too short, the times you’re home always feel precious to me. I love you so much, I am always proud of you, and I’m always here for you. I hope 26 brings you everything you pray for and everything you deserve, tenfold.

To my little Osh Kash B’gosh… I’ve referred to you as “Jonah and Kiana’s dog” so often that I sometimes forget that once upon a time you were MY companion. Thinking about it now, I can remember you being there for each one of us at different times (Me, mom, Jayed, even dad, and obviously Jonah and Kiana). For the last 15 years, you have seen our family through the best and the literal worst times. You may not have liked other animals, but you sure as heck loved your humans. Thank you for being the best dog a family could’ve had. You were truly meant to be OUR dog. I love you and will miss you more than you know my cereal dog. Rest easy Kashi girl and say hi to Bubby for me. 💛🐾 #Kashi

You’re never prepared for something like losing a loved companion no matter how much prep time you have, cuz it’s never enough. I never really do long captions but for my baby girl I’ll make an exception. Last night we had to rest my best friend, family dog, cuddle buddy, & lifelong companion. In 7th grade my mom picked me up in her old civic after school & on the chair was what I thought was a white stuffed animal, which I soon realized once she moved her head was a puppy. A puppy that would be joining my family that we named Kashi. From that point on the rest was history. If you know me & my loved ones you’ve definitely met & got to hangout with my furry bundle of energy. Kashi loved everyone except animals which is I guess what made her more human than animal sometimes. Kashi was 15 which meant she was with me more than half of my life & I’ll always feel like a part of me now isn’t complete, but I find solace knowing my baby is feeling better & resting where she is now. I’m struggling a lot trying to write this because I knew the day would come but like I said it’s never easy. Down the line Kiana also became one of Kashi’s owners & I’ll forever be grateful God put my favorite girls in the same life. I could go on endlessly & write books even about Kashi but I’ll honor her instead by always talking about how much we loved her & she loved us. She forever changed mine & my families lives & will always have a reserved section in my heart. I love you Kashi roo say hi to Hurley, Mikey & Lolo till we see you again 🤍
