Join the McLean Art Society for the Opening Reception of our June exhibition, featuring the special exhibit Water Stories and more than 200 original works by local artists, showcasing different themes, styles, and mediums. Inspired by the beauty, movement, and meaning of water, Water Stories explores rivers, oceans, rain, reflections, and the memories and emotions they evoke. Excited to share an upcoming small group show at Spring Point Health, one of the Alliance’s newer community venues, running November 21 through February 20, 2027. Featuring nature-inspired photography by Leslie Landerkin and Tana Ebbole, the exhibit beautifully complements Spring Point Health’s restorative atmosphere and focus on healing and wellness. Thank you to Spring Point Health and owner Nicole Jefferson for supporting local artists, and to curators Jessica Mickey and Kelley Parent for bringing the show together.

⁣I have always had this feeling that I could be doing so much more. That time has come and I am so goddamn proud of myself. And what a privilege it has been: to meet new people, learn new limits and ultimately serve a community. Thank you for those who have always seen my potential and fully supported me. I am so honored to create a space that means so much more than massage therapy: Spring Point Health.⁣ ⁣ -September 5th, 2025 I got news the business I worked for the last 6 years was closing (in November). ⁣ -Within a week I met with my local economic development, financial advisors, the landlord and legal counsel. ⁣ -By the end of the month, I wrote a full business plan and a lease offer. I signed. ⁣ -For the next three months I began building a brand, a website, and social media, built out an entire booking system and met with vendors. ⁣ -December 1st I had the keys; within a week, I had my permits and onboarded the 5 therapists I had worked alongside. ⁣ -And by December 17th, 2025, 𝙬𝙚 𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙙. The 6 of us together worked out the kinks and got in a new flow but we had barely skipped a beat. Our clients experienced an almost seamless transition with no complaints and only minimal issues. ⁣ ⁣ In February 2026 we partnered with Arlington Artists Alliance for the first art installation, with each room serving as a mini gallery for a different artist. And in March we hosted an open house and participated in our first community event.⁣ ⁣ And if you’re trying to keep up, I’m in the last year of my master’s program. If I’m not taking clients or running operations, I’m usually studying or doing homework. Or I’m just straight up crying in a corner.⁣ ⁣ But we’re freakin doing it. Bobby makes sure I eat and sleep and runs all around town for anything I need. My closest friends make sure my head is still on my shoulders; my peers commiserate with me all the frustrations and difficulty of school; the support I have from my clients is absolutely unbelievable; the grace my team (and their clients) have given me is completely unmatched. ⁣ ⁣ It has been a wild 6 months to say the least. I love that my that my cup is full. But seriously, how did we even get here?
