Tuesday night @acrepalm the only place to be, we do get looked after really!

Thanks @elfcosmeticsuk for the gift that keeps on giving - lips that stay moisturised throughout a tough workout

A little more from Rooted In Identity 🤍

For BHM we collaborated with @evolveyou to create an intimacy space centred around insert, fitness and hair.

We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us 🫶🏾

It’s been a while so why not share a day in my life, with a productive day in the office.
The day saw me take a short time away from my usual 9-5 tasks to manage, produce and coordinate a video podcast around female talent for black history month.

A room full of excellence 🙂‍↕️

One of my favourite parts about Thursday was after the panel talk ended, I opened up the floor for to the audience to shout out what they’re working on, any ideas they had, their new businesses - basically to speak loudly about their dreams and goals. Someone even got their first client from this 🥹

See if you can spot yourself in the pics!

Part 2 pending … ❣️

Ahh 27!!!

26 has genuinely been one of the best years I’ve ever had. Each year I get older, life gets better.

I feel like this year I truly found my passion and purpose in life, I ran a frickin MARATHON, travelled & made memories with the people around me.

Gratitude is something I’ve incorporated into my life every day since 2020 & I genuinely don’t take any of this for granted.

I am grateful to God for blessing me with another year of life, health & happiness to not only me but to my friends and family - may it continue.

I’m grateful to myself for doing the things that scare me, push me out of my comfort zone & show up everyday.

I had the idea of hosting a Cali day at the beginning of summer when I was trying to get an unassisted chin up / move my own body weight & try something new in the gym.

Then I reached out to @jess.rianne @annadekunle & @2jamz to see if they would come onboard and coach. If you’ve came along to any of the events, we can all agree they’re amazingggg at what they do!

Cali can be intimidating but for the past two sessions we’ve seen people push past what they thought they could do & encourage each other along the way.

It’s also held me accountable to keep showing up, get stronger & be consistent so I can help others when it comes to coaching on the day.

Still VERY much a beginner Cali babe but we’re getting there.

I love it here 🤭

& lastly, a huge thanks to @gravity.fitness for the support & giveaways ❣️

Above The Bar - take ✌🏽

The team showed UP yesterday & everyone smashed it. Love seeing people push themselves & cheer each other on - especially at 9am on a Saturday morning 🤭

Shoutout coaches once again for making the day possible & encouraging everyone! ❣️ @jess.rianne @2jamz @annadekunle

And to everyone who came along & showed up!!

Same again next month? 😏

Thank you @evolveyou for the opportunity to be a panelist for their Rooted In Identity event.

If there’s anything I learned it’s that my 4c hair is beautiful any way I decide to style it. It is not to be policed or to be seen less than. It is authentic and it’s me. 🤍

So grateful to have shared this opportunity with such powerful woman who have shed light on their own experiences!

Hosting Rooted In Identity with @evolveyou ❣️

Such a wholesome evening chatting all about fitness, our natural hair and representation!

I had the pleasure of speaking with @annadekunle @cgsocials_ & @kameesedavis who all shared their stories and also to the audience who we opened up the floor to!

This felt like a whole 360 moment for me after deciding to host my own first event this time last year which was also all about curly hair and identity.

I feel truly blessed to be in these rooms and to get to lead the conversation & hold space for people to share their stories, their knowledge and the hopes they have for the future in all of these industries. ❣️
