We wish you a merry @heurichchristmas vendor application season! Our 2026 applications are now open!

Christmas Markt, happening December 3-6, is a curated market. Vendors are selected by a Jury composed of three community members together with two Museum staff members. These members are well-versed in the local maker community and will use a rubric to curate which makers are selected.

2026 Jury Community Members:
✨Adam Godet, Maker, @godet_woodworking
✨Lindsay Morton, Vice President of Community Engagement and Corporate Impact, @RedbrickLMD
✨Jess Randolph, Associate Creative Director, @AnacostiaArts

2026 Vendor Application Timeline:
✨April 7th: Vendor application opens
✨July 25th: Vendor application closes
✨August 14th: Museum sends vendor notifications
✨September 10th: Vendor agreements & payment due

If you craft beautiful, locally made physical products (think jewelry, pottery, textiles, prints, small-batch goods under $150), this is your chance to shine in DC’s only multi-day holiday market for local makers.

➡️Link in bio for a vendor FAQ + applications!

Since 2013, the Heurich House Museum has hosted a multi-day holiday market in its Castle Garden. Christmas Markt is DC’s only multi-day holiday market consisting of ALL local makers. Inspired by traditional German Christmas markets (but featuring DMV-based makers), the event features between 40-50 local vendors annually. Blue background with text that reads: Heurich House Museum 14th annual Christmas Markt. Thursday December 3 to Sunday December 6. Vendor applications now open. DC's longest running and only holiday market featuring all local makers.

Fusion Festival 2025 Recap

This year at Fusion Fest, we had the honor of creating real-time impact with our community:

On the main stage, we guided participants through building their own grants database and email outreach database using @chatgpt —putting AI tools directly into the hands of entrepreneurs and change-makers. We were joined by Patty Rose, Executive Director of M Street Academy, and @shawncgregoire of @capstonecareer to deliver a powerful AI Bootcamp Workshop.

We also had the chance to sit with @yannacyarra Williams, founder of @techwellnesssociety , to explore how holistic wellness practices fuel professional growth for tech professionals. The session continued with grounding breathwork and a stretch flow led by sophialorin of #sophit4youwellness.

#FusionFest2025 lived up to its name—bringing together workshops that nurtured the whole person through tech, culture, community, and wellness.

Huge thanks to @wacifdmv and @anacostiaarts for inviting @bmaweb3 to return as a partner again this year. Great working with you @airenwashington @jessbecre 🫡.

Stay tuned—this is just the beginning. We’ll be following up with new opportunities to continue this movement soon!

This month, we amplify @oolibeauty. 🌺🧴OOLI was founded and created by Jessica Pritchett (@jessicavseverybody). She has been growing #locs for over 17 years and felt that it was time to create a #haircareline specifically dedicated to the unique care that goes into cultivating locs. #OOLIbeauty was birthed in the summer of 2018 as an ode to her #loclovestory and more importantly to expand on the beauty of the #LOCcommunity.

In the world of #naturalhair ➿ and controversial labels, Jess feels that both women AND men deserve products with ingredients they can actually trust. Jess' product gives people in the loc community relief (they know that wash and twist days will go a lot smoother). Whether locs are short, long, curled, or coiffed; there’s a little something for everyone looking to keep their crown of glory refreshed and on point w/ #OOLIbeauty! OOLI has been raved about by #beautyinfluencers and featured across many sites and publications such as @refinery29, @allure, @gq, and in 2020 #OOLIBeauty won an #OprahMagazine beauty award. Share this post and shop now on oolibeauty.com.

LOCS ➰➰➰ are beautiful and we're proud of the work you're doing Jessica. Keep being a boss!
