What were weaknesses in my first Bodybuilding season I want to make strengths at USAs.

Two-a-days 3 - 4 days a week is starting to wear on me a bit mentally, but it's definitely doing what I need it to do physically.

"I have no enemies."

225 pounds for a full strict press workout. That grants me permission to go heavy moving forward. Whether or not I meet or exceed my previous all time best of 300# before 2027 remains to be seen.

Double weak point training this morning at @thelab.gym

Although really everything except my quads is a weak point. And also my quads are a weak point. Everything just needs to get bigger.... EVERYTHING.

Lower back was tighter than usual this morning after heavy overhead presses 9 hours earlier.

Found this little stretching/rotation would loosen things up just long enough to do these lifts pain/discomfort free. I don't plan to try and use this trick to go heavy, but I'm hoping it'll help me make continuous forward progress.

Today I hit 341# / 155kg for a top set of 8 RDLs that felt pretty good and then 125# / 57kg on SSB Squats. These are very low numbers, especially the squat, but they're heavier and more pain free than I've been able to do in quite some time (as of last week, 105# was the heaviest I could load squat without my spine COMPLETELY giving out going into the hole).

Every step forward is a step closer to the goal and the best way to keep things moving is to focus on little wins and not how far away from my best numbers I am right now.

Last week, I hit 215 pounds for 4 sets of 5 before bumping it to 225 pounds for the 5th and final set.

Tonight I hit 215 for 3 sets of 5 before bumping to 225 for the final two sets of 5.

I'll keep making progress on this until 225 is a working 5 x 5 weight once again.

Lost my left strap and then my brace and just wasn’t strong enough to tough it out.

Very exciting overhead press session last night.

215# / 84kg for 4 sets of 5
225# / 102kg for the final set of 5

When I hit my ATPR strict press of 300 pounds. 225# was a moderately challenging 5 x 5 working weight.

Could I beat my 300# strict overhead by the end of 2026?

Yesterday morning's lower back and hip rehabilitation work.

A few sets of RDLs with 275 and 320 pounds and a couple sets of deep SSB squats with 105 pounds.

Finding that pushing the limits of the lower back pain/dysfunction causes too much/too long disruption, so I'll be consistently hitting lighter weights/lower relative intensity with a focus instead on increasing volume until the compromised areas are functional again.

Lats and shoulders yesterday morning.

Pecs and abs last night.

And yeah, like many others right now, this song is stuck in my head, so I used it.

First lift at the new @blackout.barbell! Shoutout @dumpyliftin for convincing me to make the big jump to 551 instead of playing it safe at 540.
