If this isn’t the quintessential East Coast summer, I don’t know what is.

Salty air. Sandy toes. Crisp whites, navy blues, and a golden retriever running through the waves. The kind of moments that never go out of style.

I recently saw Benson Boone in concert, and one lyric from Momma Song has stayed with me:

“Cause I’m gonna need this, when I’m holding pictures of you and that’s all that I’ve got left.”

It stopped me in my tracks because that’s exactly why photographs matter.

The days can feel long, but the years pass in the blink of an eye. One day, these beach nights, tiny footprints in the sand, and little hands reaching for yours will simply be memories. The photographs you make today become the way you hold onto them tomorrow.

October is breast cancer awareness month and as you may have seen, we are raising money for breast cancer research. Both of our lives have been impacted by breast cancer and we want to do our part to bring awareness to the disease and contribute to finding a cure.

This week, we are honored to help share the stories of two of Kyra’s dear friends, Jess and Taylor. These brave women have both fought through breast cancer in their 30s and were brave and vulnerable to talk with us about their journeys. Jess and Taylor, along with Kelly & Kyra felt like sharing their stories were important because so many people think that getting cancer is for much older people and sadly that’s just not the case.

It is absolutely vital that we are educated on our health and can act as our own best advocate. Jess and Taylor inspired us with their strength and we know you will be too.
