Wild Game: My Mother, Her Lover, and Me (2019) 🦆🌹📚 If you're going to read one book to escape the anxiety of this week's world events, THIS IS THE ONE. With the exception of maybe The Glass Castle (by @the.jeannette.walls), I've never read a memoir as shocking and absorbing and beautifully written as this book! Not surprisingly, it has been on a ton of best book lists for 2019.

When the author, @adriennebrodeur, is 14 years old, her mother begins a passionate affair with her stepfather's best friend. Her mother quickly ensnares Adrienne as the facilitator to their secret relationship. What follows is an absolutely captivating look at family psychology, marriage and, above all, this entrenched mother/daughter relationship. The subthemes are: gourmet cooking, class privilege, life on Cape Cod, and self-discovery. Adrienne's incredible detail and earthy observations make this book not only authentic, but a sensory pleasure to read.

Imperfect PUSH-UPS • 😅..me and my winged left scapula are working it out. 😜 Funny, I never realized how uneven my shoulders were until I started recording myself for Instagram. I was told years ago that I have a ”slight spinal curve and winging left scapula” but never thought anything of it. And when I first discovered “Lefty”, I was quite self-conscious about it and refrained from filming moves that exposed it. I’ve since ceased giving a ZAMN about it 🤷🏽‍♀️SWIPE to to the⬅️ left 🤪to see Lefty in action 🤣🤣

Hi!!! 🌈🌈 10 facts you probably don't know about me ...
1️⃣ I miss country @taylorswift! 🎤🌻🎤
2️⃣ I live in Virginia, my parents live in South Carolina, and my younger sister lives in Maine. It's weird that you can love people so much, yet choose to live so far away from them. 😓
3️⃣ I was in a sorority in college (Tri Delta) and was Executive VP, but I hated almost the entire experience. It rewarded all the wrong things. I wish I had had the courage to quit!
4️⃣ I wear some type of bra 24 hours a day. The only exception is in the shower. It's me vs. gravity, baby. 🆙🆙😭
5️⃣ Before I went to law school, I went to school in Australia on a scholarship. I earned a graduate degree in marine science and did my research on a beach. Somehow, I made it out of the country without getting a dolphin tattoo, but I did get my nose pierced. 🇦🇺🐬🐳✌
6️⃣ I haven't had Diet Coke or any soda in 4 years. Quitting was brutal, but it had to be done. 😩
7️⃣ The hardest mental thing I've ever done is giving birth without drugs. It was wild to accept that kind of pain in order to meet my girls, but totally worth it! 💓
8️⃣ I danced for many years -- ballet, modern, jazz. I never did team sports, which I think has been a disadvantage in my life. But if you want to get tipsy and dance for hours at a wedding reception, I'm your girl! 😜🍾🍾
9️⃣ Jacob and I have been married for almost 9 years. The biggest surprise? What I thought would be hard is easy, and what I thought would be easy is hard. 🤔
🔟 In 2000, I had a traumatic flight in a tiny propeller plane in Costa Rica. Costa Rica is the scariest country I've ever flown in! I developed a severe flying anxiety, and began having PTSD-type panic attacks every time I flew. It was horrible! Now I medicate myself before flying, which helps tremendously. ✈️💊✈️💊 #thankyoudrugs
