💥COLLECTIVE CARE IS OUR GREATEST DEFENSE.💥

This week, people across the country are taking action for self-managed abortion and celebrating something we already know: Abortion access is something we build together.

That means making sure abortion information is in the hands of the people, not gatekept by medical organizations or private businesses.

We want it on walls. In bathrooms. At bars. On campuses. In libraries. At coffee shops. In laundromats. At bus stops. In community centers. At shows. In mutual aid spaces. At neighborhood meetings. And in someone’s pocket when a friend suddenly needs it.

This Saturday, grab posters, resources, and abortion intel to share with everyone in your orbit. @theouterlimitslounge

Defunding Planned Parenthood is fundamentally a class issue: people with money will continue to find care, while low-income and underinsured people are left with fewer options. It is a moral decision about whose healthcare is treated as essential and whose is treated as expendable.

Sex Militant at @mdw.coalition Detroit

“Temporary Autonomous Zone”

Chromogenic color print, protest flag carried in public demonstrations, stone plinths, hand-painted banners, used memorial candles, funerary flowers, fabricated steel surveillance cameras, floodlights, found barbed wire, and mixed media.

Site-specific installation. Dimensions variable. 2026.

Part shrine, part barricade, part memorial, Temporary Autonomous Zone examines the tension between surveillance and solidarity. The work asks how communities gather, remember, and protect one another under conditions that seek to regulate, police, and constrain the body.

Thank you for the opportunity @mdw.coalition

At the Michigan Capitol today, a March for Life event leaned on dramatic stories and proposed bills claiming abortion is unsafe. This is simply not supported by evidence. Decades of credible research and the consensus of medical professionals show that abortion is safe and routine health care. You cannot claim to support women and families while spreading misinformation and fear.

We deserve care grounded in truth, and we will fight for it.
