Jennifer Sliwka, director of the KHM's Gemäldegalerie, on her curatorial view and why she loves her job❤️.

Thank you so much @jsliwka for talking to me; for your time and insight into the future of the picture galleries. Great things are in the making! And you standing in front of Isabella d'Este is so very fitting... strong women all around.

We are thrilled to share that 'The Craftocene', our new, major solo show, is now open at the stunning Weltmuseum in Vienna 🧡

Drawing from five years of research into the interconnected challenges of our time, The Craftocene is our invitation to imagine other ways of living; guided by craft, by care, and by a deep longing for ecological reconciliation.

To those who made it to the Private View last night, we are so happy you could come. And we hope many of you can come visit — the show is open till 16 August!

Our biggest thanks to @claudiabanz1 , Julia Neudorfer, and everyone at @weltmuseumwien for having us.
And endless gratitude to our brilliant colleagues @superflux, as well as our collaborators and supporters, thank you!

An incredibly informative afternoon with @max.hollein , talking about the energy, freedom, stance and community you need to lead a great museum like the @metmuseum .

Highlighting the importance of local museum visitors, Hollein talked about his vision to offer a different kind of art history by opening up traditional linear storytelling.

For instance, combining artefacts from the same era but issued from all over the world keeps galleries fresh and interesting and serves many perspectives.

Thank you @phileas.art , @jfine_kunst and @weltmuseumwien @claudiabanz1
