Every year Mix Magazine comes out with a Class of.. issue that showcases the best studio designs and builds for that year. This year we received the honor of having 3 of our studio designs selected for the Class of 2023 issue, so we decided to take a journey down memory road and go through all of our studios that have been selected for their respective Class of.. issue. Enjoy, and thank you for being a part of The S.O.U.N.D. Project! #acoustics #thesoundproject #recording #studiodesign #recordingstudio #acousticdesign #classof2023

Gavin was in the Dallas area last week and got a chance to stop by and see Tim Henson (@thew6rst) from @polyphia. We designed this studio for him alongside Joe Milne from @allpro_systems (gear selection and integration) and Jason Goodwin from @jgwservices (construction and custom acoustical treatment). It was great to hear the room in person and catch up with the team! Here it is! The most recent studio project completed for @thew6rst . From an empty entertainment room (last photo) to a professional recording studio. With the design from @haverstickdesigns for the custom layout and acoustic performance being the key feature for space. The live room is isolated and decoupled from the control room and the house, with a custom window from @acousticalsurfaces to keep it sealed up tight. Both rooms are full of custom acoustic treatments that we made in the shop and on-site, like the acoustic panels, soffit, corner bass traps and ceiling clouds. This entire project was a blast to build from the ground up. If you want to know more about this project, there’s a way you can see the entire process in posts. Go follow @jgwservices and you’ll see posts starting from the beginning to the end of this project, and other future studios and cool construction projects. A huge thank you to Tim Henson @thew6rst for being a great client and trusting me to knock this out for him. @haverstickdesigns for coming up such an awesome design and being so easy to work with. All the guys who helped throughout the project @clintholly @airclay420 @jtr_ftw @daltoncares @t.r.0.y_ @firehousefabrication and the beautiful @budheavybitch for helping make this whole thing possible.
