POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Some places take you in before they’ve heard a note. For Jared Hart, Germany has been one of them.

This week on 100 Words Or Less, Jared talks about growing up in North Jersey in a house full of art teachers, why a few rooms overseas have mattered as much to him as any back home, and what twenty years of making records on his own terms looks like from the inside.

New episode is up now.

New on 100 Words Or Less: Jared Hart.

Jared grew up in North Jersey in a family of art teachers, which turns out to explain a lot about how he’s spent the last twenty years making records and running a label out of that same corner of the world. We talk about where he comes from, what a house full of people who teach art does to a kid with a guitar, and why Germany keeps pulling him back across the Atlantic.

Singer, songwriter, Mercy Union frontman. Out now wherever you get your podcasts.

Ten years ago today, a guy from the Bronx and a band called the Bronx got together to do one short tour. The universe couldn’t handle that much Bronx energy and almost immediately after they parted ways, a rift was opened that sucked everyone into the darkest timeline.

Stoked to see the homies this Friday at City Winery and hopefully fix this mess we created.
