goodbye you beauty 🍅♥️ a summer absolutely overflowing with riches. water and dear friends and beautiful fragrant treats from the earth. here is a summer poem that my sweet Claire showed me that I love!
Tomatoes by Joy Sullivan -
I waited so long for love
and suddenly, here it is
standing in the garden, hands full
of heirlooms hot from the sun.

Soon we’ll make a supper of them.
Salted slabs between slices of bread.
Your beard silvers. My hips ripen.
The mail piles up.

Phone calls go unanswered. Forgive us.
Our mouths are full of tomatoes.
We are so busy
being small and hungry and alive.

What a privilege it is to be known❣️

To quote the packaging on my favorite little ladybug notecards, may this be a year I use unsparingly 🐞

Love you all.

May I always do meaningful things that benefit others and myself 🌿

The catalpas are in bloom in cincinatti. They look good with all the brick. I bought an old tshirt with a unicorn on it because I feel like a unicorn - pure and graceful and elusive - which I decided is a stage of grief.
