I have joined the Board of Trustees of the Hollywood Art and Culture Center — and I could not be more excited to serve alongside this dynamic board of community leaders, led by the incredible Executive Director, Jennifer Homan.

Such a pleasure sitting down with Jennifer Homan, the Executive Director of the Hollywood Art and Culture Center!

In so many conversations with other arts leaders, I hear the same refrain: “Audiences still haven’t rebounded since COVID.” I’m incredibly proud of the Symphony of the Americas team for their work welcoming so many new people into our fold this past season. In this conversation, we get an inside peek at the secret to Jennifer’s success at the Hollywood Art and Culture Center: truly listening to the community and creating programming that reflects and welcomes the people around you.

Jennifer is a wonderful example of what can happen when arts organizations stay connected to their communities and remain committed to welcoming new people through their doors. If we listen and create with our communities in mind, we can reach more people and continue changing lives through the arts.

What a great Hollywood Power Lunch!

We gathered Thursday at Abiaka Wood Fire Grill at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino for a delicious lunch, great conversation, and an important discussion about an issue that could have a significant impact on businesses throughout Hollywood.

A special thank you to our generous sponsor, Waste Pro USA, for helping make this event possible!

We were also pleased to welcome Adam Reichbach, Deputy City Manager for the City of Hollywood, who presented on Amendment #3 and provided valuable insight into what its passage could mean for businesses across our community. His presentation helped put the potential impacts into perspective and gave attendees an opportunity to better understand how this amendment could affect Hollywood’s business landscape.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, shared in the conversation, and continues to make our Chamber events such a valuable place to connect, learn, and engage with our community.

And of course, the food at Abiaka was delicious — the perfect setting for another successful Hollywood Power Lunch!
