Starting your own business comes with high highs and low lows. Yesterday was most definitely one of the highs. ☀️ Sunshine, incredible women, beautiful surroundings, and a whole lot of mahjong. The kind of day that makes all the hard ones worth it. The only thing missing was my sister and business partner, Sarah, who couldn’t make it over from Ireland. She’s behind so much of what makes Tala happen! And now, back to the regularly scheduled programming… getting your orders out the door! 📦🤍💫🀄️. Last year I hosted a really fun event @cornusrestaurant in their private dining room to celebrate the American ladies being in town and we collaborated with @summerillandbishop on the tablescaping and @neillstrainfloralcouture on these incredible Pumpkin 🎃 floral displays … there we so gorgeous 🌺 new Autumn 🍂 collections are now available at the Neill Strain Floral boutique on West Halkin Street and the Summerill & Bishop store on Elizabeth Street 🧡

A little kitchen tip worth keeping in your back pocket. 🤎 At TableWith, we love sharing simple tips and tricks that make cooking and gathering a little easier. The kind you learn once and can use for years to come. First up: how to cut a leek. Leeks are at their best in the cooler months and add a lovely, mild onion flavor to everything from soups and pastas to roasted dishes. Here’s how to prep them:     1. Trim the root ends. 2. Trim tough green tops.     3. Remove any damaged outer layers.     4. Cut in half lengthwise.     5. Cut into thin half-moons. Wash and you’re ready to cook! One of our favorite leek dishes is @jakecohen’s Yogurt Roasted Salmon with Leeks from Dinner Party Animal, a recipe you can find in the TableWith app to cook for your next cookbook club!
