Self-doubts as you sing? Try our free seminar for singers in our link in bio! 🎙️ @meisnerinmusic

As @operancoffee so wonderfully put it, “thinking backwards” can sink a performance. 🛟

The beauty of Meisner is how present it helps us become. 🧘🏾‍♀️ When we spend all of our time replaying our mistakes, we miss the magic right in front of us.

🎶 Masquerade has gained anothеr MiM artist!

Huge congratulations to Jordan Goodsell @jordan_goodsell who recently joined @masqueradenyc Off-Broadway! 🥂

Jordan is one of the kindest, hardest-working, humble AND talented singers we’ve ever worked with and the Masquerade team is so lucky to have him.

It looks like studying Meisner could lead to studying with the Phantom…who will be next?🌹

Want to gain Jordan’s level of freedom? Early bird reg for our Spring Core Classes lies in our bio. 🪄 @MeisnerinMusic

After the proposal, I suggested we walk up the block to @barriochinony, where we had our first date, to snap a few photos.

Inside, our friends and family were waiting with a surprise engagement party. More happy tears were shed, then we drank margaritas, ate tacos, and squeezed into the same booth where we shared our first kiss, almost four years earlier.

huge shout-out to everyone who helped me pull this off:

florals and swan room reservation: @a_saggurti
scheming: @emelyneross and @danimitola
ring shopping: @kmgarson
papel picado: @_theclarenecessities
secret-keeping: literally everyone, but especially @sarahanaleice, @hhammons53, @klshewmaker, @emelyneross, and @danimitola for throwing him off the scent

9 years ago, I taught the very first Meisner in Music class.

🗣️ I thought it would help singers with their acting.

I never could have expected what else it would do.

Since 2017, Meisner in Music has become a space where singers could - sure, become better actors - but also

get out of their heads,
sing with incredible freedom,
rely on their instincts instead of doubt them,
and trust inherently that ✨they are enough.✨

9 years later, I’m still blown away by what we’ve created together.

All of the singers whom we interviewed for this video were so different. But in what each of them said, I heard a common thread: 🪡

🔮 that something magical happens when you stop trying to “get it right” and start truly being where you are now.

I am so amazed at Meisner in Music’s growth, excited for its future, and grateful to be doing this work. 🎶

🪄 If you haven’t experienced Meisner in Music yet,
I invite you to come see what can happen in your own singing.

🎙️ Welcome back to our Workshop Q&A series!

MiM Founder Jillian Paige is covering a few questions we didn’t have time to answer at our NYC Workshop in July and this one is a doozy.

In today’s answer, we cover an all-too-well-known dilemma with singing: expressing fully while singing beautifully! 💭
