A little taste of the very first Found trip!

Day one, everybody introduced themselves with their most embarrassing story. We instantly bonded.

Somewhere in here is the day we took everyone’s phones. By dinner, half of them still didn’t want them back.

By the end of the trip, the group was calling it one of the best experiences of their lives.

The next one is being built right now, and it fills from the waitlist first. DM me FOUND to get on that waitlist.

Comment “automate” … if you have a podcast or if you’ve ever wanted to start one. Podcast 🎙️ production just got really really cheap and really fast & simple, thanks to AI! 🤖

Chris Harder has this rare gift - he makes you feel like the most important person in the room. And then you turn around and Rob Dyrdek is standing right there. Zip lining through Santa Barbara with nine strangers who became people you’d call at midnight. Wine tasting, real conversations, no pretending. Watching the sun drop into the Pacific, then bodysurfing like nothing else existed. But this is what I’ll remember most. Nine entrepreneurs. Different industries, different cities, same obsession. Build something that matters. Make good money. Do great things with it. Turns out that’s not rare. You just have to find your people.

“What’s a “90’s day?” …

On day three of the first ever 4-day FOUND trip for entrepreneurs, I said to the group, “I’m asking you to voluntarily give up your phones allll day and join me in a day of pure fun.” … you know, like we did in the 90s.

And that’s exactly what we did!

They loved it so much, that having a “90’s day” will officially be a part of every FOUND trip going forward!

A very special thank you to @robdyrdek for demoing @existence_io to us, to @melabraham9 for taking us to @magiccastlehollywood , and to @mattmckinneycoach for opening up his winery @mckinneyfamilyvineyards to us! You gents made the trip exquisite!

Want to join the next one? Comment FOUND below to find out when and where! 🎉👍🏻

Good things = God
Heavy things = God
There were plenty of both so even when it’s easy to forget 👉🏻 God 🙏

October same plan 😎

Happiest of birthdays to our Hazel-bug! 💕 We can’t believe you’re FOURTEEN today!

While being your mom isn’t always for the faint of heart 😂, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Watching you grow into the insanely energetic, fiercely opinionated, hilarious, and absolutely stunning young woman you’re becoming is one of my greatest joys.

We are so incredibly proud of you and can’t wait to see what this next year brings. Keep being unapologetically YOU, Hazel-bug. We love you more than you’ll ever know! 💗🎂✨

WE’RE 35% THERE! 🏐💙

Thanks to some incredibly generous people, we’ve raised $175 toward our $500 goal! 🙌🏼

That means we have $325 to go — and we’re hoping our volleyball village can help us get there!

If you missed our original post, Olive is currently sidelined after rupturing her ACL. She can’t play, but she’s still showing up every practice, every game, cheering on her team.

So we’re showing up for her and her teammates, too. 💙

Can you help us get to $500?

And if you can’t donate, sharing this post is just as appreciated. ❤️ Let’s finish this together! 🏐💙 Venmo: @Valerie-Carter-34

Some of you know, and some of you don’t, but this week we got some pretty heavy news.

About five weeks ago, Olive had a goofy landing at a tournament. At the time, we didn’t think much of it. We let her rest for a couple of weeks, but her knee was still “off.”

So we started the process:

Urgent Care → X-ray → Orthopedist → MRI

Fast forward to this week, and we learned that Olive ruptured her ACL.

No, she can’t just walk it off. And no, it won’t heal on its own.

She’s now scheduled for surgery, followed by a 9–12+ month recovery.

We’ve felt ALL the emotions this week — anger, frustration, sadness, and helplessness. She’s a sophomore, and this certainly isn’t how we envisioned her high school experience.

And somehow, through all of this, she’s been surprisingly upbeat.

Jim and I, on the other hand, are heartbroken.

Our Olive — who simply LOVES playing volleyball — can’t play.

But we’ve decided to make this a teachable moment.

We honor our commitments. We show up. And we want our girls to learn that following through with what you say you’re going to do is an important life skill.

So, Olive has been at every practice. Every game. Cheering her teammates on from the sidelines and doing whatever she can to support her team.

And that brings us to this post.

Even though she’s not playing, we’re still here for the TEAM.

That means showing up.
That means cheering.
And yes… that means fundraising, too. ❤️

If you’ve made it this far, THANK YOU! We’d love for you to consider supporting the La Habra High School Girls Volleyball program.

We’re committed to helping make this one of the best programs in the area — but building something special takes a village.

So, Village… let’s help our girls! 🏐💙

Thank you for supporting Olive, her teammates, and LHHS Girls Volleyball. We appreciate every bit of love and support more than you know.

It’s been 2 weeks since we were in Newport Beach (one of our favorite places!) and being around an intimate room full of people who don’t just cheer you on when you win….
They quietly raise your standard for what you’ll accept in your business and your life! 🚀

Some powerful takeaways from our mastermind trip:

→ Proximity changes perspective.
Being IN THE ROOM IRL hits different than watching from the sidelines

→ Small, intentional circles beat crowded ones every time
→ One real conversation with the right person can truly save you years of trial and error (it’s the shortcut!)

→ JOY can actually be a strategy — pickleball, e-bikes on the boardwalk, a bonfire on the beach… moving our bodies and finding joy in different activities allows you to be a different version of yourself and operate from a different mindset when it comes to making decisions, creating content etc.

We got to hear from @iamnatalie as well as benefit from a serious deep on AI with 2 icons in the space, @brookesheltonofficial and @jimcarterthethird - so amazed by what we learned and what I’m implementing!!

I’m forever grateful for @loriharder and @chriswharder and the rooms they create, because they attract some seriously incredible humans!! 🤍

Plus, I LOVE getting to do business and life with my number one, @matt_arruda ♥️
