A bit more about Hambela.

Grown by 650 smallholder farmers at 2,100–2,300 metres in Guji, Ethiopia. The cherries go through seven days of anaerobic fermentation before drying on raised African beds.

This lot was also named a winner of the second Taste of Harvest 2025/26.

There is something special about taking the flavours we grew up with and presenting them in an entirely different way.

From the warmth and richness of Gamjatang to the delicate sweetness of Moyakgwa, each course was a reflection of our roots, our creativity, and the stories we wanted to share.

More than just a menu, it was our way of bringing a little piece of Korean tradition to the table.

After this fish burger was posted by @jinius.au I pinged @_jerry1024 to see if he’d have time for a chat because I needed to know more about it. They pickle their own long green Korean chillies here and it takes around 2.5 weeks. It’s bright, mildly spicy and gives a little dimension to a traditional fish burger. The house brioche bun wasn’t overwhelmingly rich for me but quite light and airy.

$27 - Fried hake, lime kosho tartare made with Korean chillies, green mango, iceberg, American cheese.
$13 - Tiramisu tart
$14 - Potato leek tart 2.0 (gifted) by @jin__baker

Spent $40 and would gladly do it again.

Definitely worth checking out!
