Sharing a few photo highlights from our recent AWP Member's Day at Takun Retreat Club!

📸 A huge thank you to Manson @mansonphoto_ for capturing these amazing moments and working his magic behind the lens—be sure to swipe through to catch the vibes! 🌿✨

The afternoon was pure fun from start to finish. We even got a refreshing rain that stopped right at 4PM, clearing away the haze and leaving us with the crispest breeze just in time for our outdoor court games! 🎾

A massive THANK YOU to everyone who made this day so special:

🍃 Takun Retreat Club @takunretreatclub for hosting us and letting our community experience Malaysia’s first Thunder Spa—their signature warm magnesium recovery pool with tropical storm sounds—along with their cold plunge, sauna, contrast therapy, and full suite of wellness facilities!

🎾 David @davidlow71 @studio_71 from Wedding Club Pickleball for hosting such a fun, energetic, and competitive pickleball session. Congrats to our Champion team!

🎾 TK @tkteo for hosting a beginner friendly tennis experience for our members and guests.

🍽️ La Casa @lacasa.kl for the delicious refreshment spread and wonderful hospitality—our members loved every bite!

🍰 Ariana @arianaraisyasugarart for the stunning, sweet cake that completed our afternoon!

🎙️ Jit @jitwoomc for keeping the energy high as our emcee, 🔈 Sound system support from Billy @twosoundguys and Ken Chan Production @kenchan_production for documenting our event highlight reel!

🤍 A special, heartfelt shoutout to our dedicated committee and volunteers working behind the scenes. From brainstorming and planning to executing on the ground, your effort made this all possible. We do this truly because we want to build a community for wedding professionals, by wedding professionals. 🤝✨

Most of all, thank you to all our members and guests who showed up with so much warmth and enthusiasm. Seeing our community connect, unwind, and laugh together made it an unforgettable afternoon. Here’s to many more! 🥂

August has always been the month of long lunches, industry catch-ups, Malaysian Bridal Fashion Week and site visits. In short, a month to breathe and reset. I love the place we're in right now for our industry. The Malaysian Chinese wedding industry feels healthy. There’s positive energy, creativity, collaboration and a real willingness to grow together.

Some weddings feel special. Some feel unforgettable. And then, once in a while, there is a wedding that reminds you why you fell in love with this profession in the first place. @jitwoomc elaborates ………

‘An unforgettable evening is never accidental. It is carefully designed. As both the wedding emcee and coordinator, my focus was not only on how the wedding looked, but on how it felt from start to finish. A curated program ensures the night flows naturally; building emotions, allowing moments to breathe and keeping guests fully engaged without feeling rushed or restless. Every segment had a purpose, the timing of the grand entrance, the emotional placement of speeches, the seamless transition between courses and key highlights. When the programme is well-designed, guests don’t check the time. They stay present.

As the emcee, guiding the night was an absolute joy. From emotional highlights to laughter echoing across the ballroom, every segment was intentionally paced, allowing emotions to breathe and memories to settle. And when the snowflakes fell during the couple’s key moments, there was an audible gasp from the room. That’s when you know the vision has truly come to life. That magic only happens when timing, atmosphere and emotion align perfectly.

Just when guests thought the night had peaked, the after-party began. Lights dimmed and the DJ took over. The ballroom transformed once again, this time into a vibrant celebration of love, energy and pure joy. Shoes off, hands up and the dance floor stayed full until the very last beat.

As a wedding emcee and coordinator, I believe the most memorable weddings are not just beautifully styled, they are beautifully orchestrated. This celebration was a true reflection of that philosophy and a perfect blend of elegance, emotion, and electrifying fun. A night where love took centrestage, details spoke loudly and the ending was nothing short of legendary. And for me, it was an absolute honour to bring this unforgettable evening to life’.
