I smiled and told her, “Because it’s made from little treasures Mama has lovingly made, collected, and found over the years. Every tiny toy, every little piece holds a memory, and when we bring them together, they carry all that love with them.”

This Mother’s Day, we celebrate more than the moment a baby is born, we honor the sacred becoming!

I walk beside mothers in the quiet hours before the world meets their child. In the intimate preparation, 30, 40, sometimes over 50 hours spent learning, releasing, remembering. We don’t just prepare for birth. We prepare for sovereignty.

Because a mother doesn’t awaken to her power at the peak of a contraction. She steps into it long before, when she chooses to breathe through her fears, to study her rights, to reclaim her voice through informed consent and refusal.

She learns her body is not a machine to be managed, but an instrument in the divine symphony of life. She practices the sacred dance of labor, trusting upright postures, breath, vocal toning, water, movement, and rest…listening not to a clock, but to her inner knowing.

In the most vulnerable portal of her life, she rises as the most powerful.

Not because birth is predictable, but because she is no longer codependent on systems that forgot how to revere her. She is autonomous. Not alone. She chooses support not because she needs saving, but because she knows her worth.

She doesn’t wait for birth to begin mothering. She parents through every choice she makes in pregnancy, knowing her thoughts, her nourishment, her emotional landscape, all shape the consciousness of her child.

She is the vessel. The altar. The rememberer of ancient wisdom. And I am honored each time she trusts me to witness this remembering.

You, beloved mother, are not broken. You are becoming. You are the goddess of your lineage, choosing again to love wisely, fiercely, and consciously.

Happy Mother’s Day to the women who remember who they are.

St Patrick’s Day festival handmade decorations 💚☘️🌈

☘️For the LEPRECHAUN I used the circular cookie cutter and then felted a circle with white wool,then added some skin colour in the middle of the circle where the face would be and felted other face features and hat onto it.For the beard I used a moher yarn that I felted into the decoration.Finally I’ve sewn the border around using the gold thread.

☘️For the HORSESHOE I used the cork coaster to felt into the yellow wool which I decorated with different gems and sequins.

☘️To create the POT OF GOLD I also used the circle cookie cutter and black wool and I used glue gun to add some gold sequins.

☘️To create SHAMROCK I used the foil paper in green and folded 3 hearts.

☘️For the RAINBOW,my daughter used the sewing kit that we together as all other decorations using glue gun attached on the skewer and then into a clay ball to fit into the seasonal displaying tier.

☘️To create IRISH FLAG BUTTERFLY I used green peg doll and tissue paper in green,white and orange.

☘️To create POMPOM IRISH FLAG i stacked pompoms and added some shamrock sequins too.

☘️To create RAINBOW ESSENCE BOTTLES I used tiny glass bottles that I filled with rainbow coloured sequins and then using glue gun I attached at the bottom a pieces of skewers so that can fit the seasonal displaying tier without falling👍🏻

☘️I added some party palms (what are these called ,I don’t know 😅🙈) in green and gold to the second tier around the Rainbow crown that I made 4 years ago for David.🥹

☘️St Patrick’s festival card on top is by @jleejarrin 💚 and Cliffs of Moher and Puffin postcard is by @waldorf_crafters .💚

☘️Finally I added some fairy lights,different shades of green ribbons together with rainbow one and chocolate coins.

It is crucial to understand that 40 weeks is not the average pregnancy length for first-time mothers. Research shows that pregnancy often extends beyond this milestone. Studies reveal that only about 50% of first-time mothers go into labor by 40 weeks and 5 days, while 75% experience labor by 41 weeks and 2 days. Moreover, around 10% of first-time pregnancies continue beyond 42 weeks. These statistics highlight that it is perfectly normal for pregnancy to go past 42 weeks without complications. Despite this, many women are incorrectly told that they need to be induced if they haven’t gone into labor by their due date, which only fuels the unnecessary induction epidemic.
