Today’s the day. 🧡

I’m excited. I’m nervous. And I’m incredibly grateful.

What started as my own experience with burnout has grown into work that I now get to share with others, and today, I’m bringing that work into a community that played such an important role in my own recovery.

Beyond the Workout: Recognize • Recover • Rebuild 🍊

We talk a lot about pushing harder, doing more, and staying strong.

Today, we’re talking about something just as important: recovery.

This feels like one of those full-circle moments I’ll remember for a long time.

Burnout doesn’t always look like falling apart.

Sometimes it looks like showing up. Working hard. Taking care of everyone. Getting the workout in. Checking all the boxes…and still wondering why you feel so depleted.

On Sunday, September 13, I’m bringing a conversation that means a lot to me to my home OTF studio. 🧡

Beyond the Workout: Recognize • Recover • Rebuild is an interactive workshop about recognizing the signs of burnout, understanding what’s draining and restoring your energy, and building more sustainable ways to work, recover, and thrive.

And yes, we’re going to talk about why movement and fitness can be such powerful parts of recovery, while also recognizing that your workout can be part of your recovery strategy, but it can’t be the whole strategy.

I’ll also be introducing BEAM: Being, Energy, Alignment & Meaning, the burnout recovery framework I developed through my graduate capstone research in Applied Positive Psychology.

This one feels especially full-circle for me. OTF became an important part of my own recovery journey, and now I get to bring the work that grew from that experience back into this community. 🥹🧡

Burnout isn’t failure.

It’s not weakness.

It’s awareness that you’ve reached a limit and something needs to change.

Jess shares that whether it’s a misalignment of values, chronic stress, or constantly giving more energy than you’re getting back, burnout can be a signal that something in your life needs attention.

And sometimes, recognizing that signal is the first step toward getting better.
