This past week at the ACA National Championship on Pickwick marked the end of a chapter on my college fishing career. We had a decent first day with 17.77. We went swinging the second and came up two fish short of a limit. Overall it was a great week of fishing. The memories I have made in college fishing are some that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. College fishing has allowed me to meet some incredible people and friends along the way. It all started because Coach Shane Cox took a chance on a kid from Lexington TN. Without the opportunity he gave me I would have missed out on the best 5 years of my life. I’m forever grateful for my lord and savior Jesus Christ, my family, and friends for pushing me to be better and presenting me with so many blessings. I sit back and reflect on how my life would have been so much different if I didn’t have the opportunity to fish In college. I encourage anyone who is considering going to college to fish that they need to take the opportunity. It’s the best decision that you could ever make. I’m looking forward to one last national championship next year. As for now I sit and reflect on all of the memories and friends I have made along the way! Life is all about taking chances. You never know how impactful one decision could be on your life. Make those decisions count!

The classics are BACK in the lineup. 🔥
It’s been a minute since we’ve had the OG Scottsboro Tackle Company Flex-Fit hats in stock — and now the Scottsboro Tackle Co. & Swimbait University Richardson 112s are loaded back up too.

Whether you’re on the water, at the ramp, or in the tackle shop… these are the hats everybody asks about. 👊🎣

The 5.5” Scottsboro Tackle Co. Top Hook Swimbait has quietly become one of the hardest baits for us to keep in stock. Built for those fish that slide offshore and start setting up deep, this one shines when the bite gets tougher and the pressure gets heavier.

Once they hit the website, they disappear quicker than a Snickers Bar at a Weight Watchers convention 🍫😂

Payback Shad in 5.5”

From yesterday’s hand pours at @scottsborotackleco — straight out of the mold and going on the rack. Clean laminate lines, bold back, and that subtle chartreuse glow through the core.

Not quite ready to hit the water yet… but it won’t be long. 👀
