A whole year has passed since the final #caroleeakimbo.

It’s crazy to think that in the summer of ‘24 the tour cast was announced and #caroleeakimbo began.
Please give us a moment to gush.
How amazing it was to have a whole year of this show. To be able to travel to catch the wonderful cast time and time again. Combined Jamie and I saw the tour 49 times. 🫣

For me personally it felt like I kind of got to go on tour, too. To travel to several different states and discover different cities, it was so fun! This show brought tears of joy, tears of sadness, so much laughter and amazing memories.
I don’t think we’ll ever be over Carolee’s performance in this role. Watching her transform into Kimberly was amazing and a true testament to how freakin talented she is.
How has a year passed already?!

2025 Recap!
January- kicked off the year with an incredible read-a-thon. And started designing for Annie.
February- Annie took the stage. Started rehearsals for Fiddler on the Roof. But a major highlight was spending 2 whole weeks with @jnskirvin as we lived in our Akimbo bubble and saw the show SO many times.
March- was spent in rehearsals and playing board games.
April- Nathan and I ventured to St. Louis for a show (you know which one) and got to see some fun sights like the St. Louis Zoo and the Aquarium!
May- Fiddler on the Roof!! I saw my honey shine onstage and embraced the strong feeling of community that I have come to love so deeply.
June- PRIDE! Theatrical Tendencies walked in the parade, my first one since the Waukesha parade. Also took a few trips to Chicago with some friends to catch a show I’ve totally never seen before (😉)
July- this was quite the month. @apolloswann and I took a road trip to Minneapolis and went to the mall of America, saw some shows and had hours upon hours of laughs and lovely conversations. Jamie and I adventured to Cleveland and caught the closing weekend of @caroleecarmello’s run in Kimberly Akimbo. We got tattoos and had an amazing roadtrip. The conclusion to our chaotic months of Akimbo.
August- We moved to our new home! Our family is so happy here. Some loves got married and I’m still thinking about the love that was shared that day.
September- I started my job at first stage!!!
October- full of DnD, She Kills Monsters, and Goosebumps!!!
November- my birthday! A crazy switch to our holiday show and began rehearsals for The Producers (get those tickets now!)
December- time spent backstage at the theater, intentional time with friends and getting cozy.
2025, you were so good to me. Can’t wait to see what 2026 brings.

We kicked off our Akimbo weekend by making our shitty lives better and getting some lemon ink! Thank you to @sugar_and_spice_tattoo_suite for this amazing tattoo and experience! This trip has been a long time coming and planning with @jnskirvin (almost a whole year!) The fact that it’s here is so crazy. The weekend is going to fly by but we’re ready to take it all in and enjoy the ride 🥲🍋🎢🌈

When we first connected in 2020 I had no idea that you’d become one of my closest friends. So thankful for you, and for all of our road trips and fun shenanigans! I hope today is spent with a good book and some fun musicals blasting in the background, though we can probably guess which one 😂

AAAHHHH friends & food & adventure! Took a trip to Agave & Rye for lunch and met up with @jamie_anderson13 💕💕 Had an AMAZING kangaroo meat taco, tons of laughs, and a wonderful time. OH! AND did the MOST PERFECT SEAMLESS parallel parking job I’ve ever done in my life! Also - the meta pictures are curtesy of Lilith who wanted to take pictures of me taking pictures of my food and I look adorable 🤩🥰

A year ago today (how did that happen?!) this lovely human, @jamie_anderson13 and I decided on a whim to stay for the opening night of Songs for A New World at Paper Mill Playhouse. And what a great decision that was. That spiraled into us seeing that cast over a span of 10 times during their run. It holds such a special place in my heart. Not just the show but those people and that place. I wish I could go back and do it again and again. Every time the curtain went up and that first chord was played, I felt like I was home. It’s a weird way to describe it. But it did.
I’m so so thankful to that wonderful cast, @andrewkober, @miapinero, @caroleecarmello and @romanwbanks for bringing one of my favorite shows to life. It will forever be a special memory. Thank you. What a happy thing to look back on. I love live theater.

To find the words for this weekend … is not possible. It was phenomenal. Not only was road tripping with @jamieanderson actually fun (minus the rain), I got to see one of my favorite actresses perform!!! I would do it all again in a heartbeat. @caroleecarmello I will say this until I’m blue in the face but you were amazing. You’re an incredibly talented, kind, generous and caring human. Thank you for a wonderful first live performance back. Also, thanks for humoring me in taking multiple photos. You’ve been such a supportive presence the last year and a half so thank you. Hopefully there’s another event we can come to soon 🤞🏻

Even if you’re just staying on your couch today (like I am), you can still wear RED and GIVE to raise awareness for women’s heart health ... ok, I’m just wearing a red blanket and lipstick, but I was still able to donate right from my couch to @american_heart ❤️ Help fight the No. 1 killer of women - cardiovascular disease. #WearRedDay (Also, this 2nd pic features the 2 lovely women who run a page called @carmelloland ... Jamie & Alexa ... who prompted me to post today. Jamie lost her grandmother last November after her lifelong battle with heart problems, so the cause is very special to her. ) Thank you for wearing red and for giving even $1, if you’re able. #goredforwomen ❤️
