We’re delighted to welcome Bainbridge Print Studios to Imprint 2026!

An artist-led printmaking studio based across South London, Bainbridge Print Studios provides professional facilities and a collaborative environment for contemporary printmaking.

Working across screenprint, intaglio and relief, the studio supports artists at every stage of their practice through open-access facilities, dedicated studio spaces, workshops and commissions. Community engagement is central to its approach, creating opportunities for artists and audiences to explore the possibilities of print.

At Imprint 2026, Bainbridge Print Studios will present work by Lucy Bainbridge, Katy Binks and Jo de Pear, bringing together three distinct artistic practices.

Dear @jo_de_pear thank you for gifting me this book, it has been an absolute joy to read.

Found myself highlighting passages in this gem of a book. Stories, research, song lyrics, poetry, food journeys, people, culture, the why and how we eat what we eat .

Food is culture, it is used as an act of defiance, to survive, to create, recreate and imitate. Food binds us to the past and the present.

This is required reading for historians, anthropologists, foodies, writers, chefs etc.

Honoured to be exhibiting in the ‘Land & Sea’ exhibition at Bowhouse @bowhousefife, which provided the perfect setting for such a diverse and exciting collection of works.

Great fun to be there for the opening and along with other artists, give a talk about my work and to celebrate 200 years of cameraless photography

‘The exhibition brings together seventeen contemporary artists whose work is shaped by landscape, coastline and the elements. Some use the camera to observe particular places, plants and habitats. Others work directly with sunlight, water, weather and natural materials, allowing the environment to become part of the photographic process itself’

Introducing Jo de Pear.

Jo is a London-based multidisciplinary printmaker whose work is held in the collections of the British Museum and the V&A. In recent years her practice has been shaped by time spent in Antigua, where the intensity of Caribbean UV light made cyanotype the natural process to work with.

Coating paper with light sensitive emulsion, Jo casts strong shadows from tropical leaves, sea corals, and sea fans collected from the shore, washing them away to reveal ethereal botanical sun prints. Her Sea Fan series carries an underlying commentary on climate change, the woodcuts made from fans washed up in the aftermath of devastating hurricanes.

Jo’s work is on view at @bowhousefife, as part of Land & Sea, opening 15 August in collaboration with @studies.in.photography. All artworks are for sale.

Without a Camera: 200 Years of Photography, 1826-2026 opened last Friday at Studies in Photography Gallery, Edinburgh, marking the first collaboration between @spacetobreatheexpo and @studies.in.photography

Nine contemporary artists. Two centuries of cameraless practice. This exhibition traces photography back to its earliest origins.

On view at 6 William Street, Edinburgh until 8 August, before travelling to @bowhousefife joined by additional artists as part of Land & Sea, opening 15 August.
