Last 3, Next 3 tag 🤍

I’ve never participated in a bookstagram tag before so felt inspired to create this one.

I’ve been having a hard time just choosing a book & diving into it so I feel like this will eliminate that decision anxiety for me. Join me in this tag if you’re having a hard time too.

I put them under categories just for fun, Comfort & New Author. Other ones could be based on Genre, World, Time…etc I’ve tagged a couple of you, but you don’t have to do it 🤭 (Poll: How did I do for my first tag? 🫶🏽)

-Nice one 👌🏾
-Meh 🫣
-Could have done better 🤷🏽‍♀️ (let me know in the comments or dm me your idea 💡)

.

QOTW: what were your last 3 reads & what are your next?

.

Last 3: Comfort reads
💗Divine Rivals
💗It Ends With Us
💗Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone

Next 3: New Author
🔥We Hunt the Flame
💫We Free the Stars
🫖A Tempest of Tea

.

Can’t wait to dive into the worlds that @hafsahfaizal created. She’s such an inspiration to me as a Muslim writer navigating the question of how much of myself should I put into stories 💕 I’ve been meaning to read them all back to back and I finally have all 3!

Idk why I like to do photo dumps on Sundays. Instead of my usual dumps I’m going to do a 20 Obsession Challenge. I was tagged by @readbygaia . I thought it was going to be hard to come up with 20 things, I felt like I haven’t been obsessed with much, until I started to list all of the things 🙃

Tagged some of you on slide 6 if you want to join the challenge.

20 obsessions:
🤍 God.
🤍 Music.
🤍 Writing/Poetry.
🤍 Coffee.
🤍 My kids.
🤍 Loc Journey.
🤍 Nail/Feet care.
🤍 Family/Friends.
🤍 Target.
🤍 Sushi.
🤍 Coffee cups.
🤍 Digital planning.
🤍 Office supplies.
🤍 Books.
🤍 YouTube.
🤍 Photo dumps.
🤍 Pinterest.
🤍 Sudoku.
🤍 My solitude.
🤍 Adding things to my Amazon wishlist.

QOTD: What was the last book you read by a Black author? Is there another Black Bookstagrammer that I should have included in this post?

Check out today’s book recommendations and featured authors and bookstagrammers. Give us a follow if you like what you see. ☺️

For future collaborations: I just found out that I can now tag up to five collaborators at a time, which means I have more room for folks to join in. If you’d like to join any of my collaborations, simply let me know and what day of the week you’d like to participate. 🤩

Collab with @joceybitz_writes of our top 3 bipoc reads of 2023 i voted mine 5 stars. First book featured is Blackout & Whiteout anthology unofficial duology so far of six authors who wrote bipoc queer love stories in New York & Atlanta. Then If you could see the sun debut of Ann Liang about a young brilliant girls struggle in a prestige school with magical elements. I learned a lot about Chinese culture made me hungry for the food. Lastly the blood like magic duology such a unique and respectful black Trinidad Canadian pagan story full of family bonding and trauma. Lead trans character love interest and other characters of the queer community bipoc as well. All these stories mean so much to me and I'm glad to have read them. 🌨☃️❄🇹🇹🏝🔮🗽🌃🍕📚🇯🇲💖
